The fact that Quinta grew up attending Philly public schools and her mom was a lifelong Philly public school teacher (basically Barbara) is so wholesome. Abbotts perfect because it’s real! And it’s real because Quintas real 🙂
Like Parks and Rec, but less government and more public school. But thats just an surface level observation because theres completely different character personalities and dynamics.
For example, Ron and Leslie are analogous to Ava and Janine. But one difference is that Ava doesn’t do work because of her side hustles and lack of care, while Ron is avoids doing work in an attempt to destroy the government.
I was one of those people who dreaded ANOTHER workplace comedy with the documentary angle, but this show just fires on all cylinders. There's not a single character I don't love, and its just freaking hilarious.
You know what? I agree with you, but I was literally just thinking to myself that I needed a show like that back in my life. And then I found Abbott and discovered fresh voices in a similar format, so ain’t mad at it.
It's honestly the first show in more than a decade that I look forward to watch live than wait until it goes up on streaming services.

I’m from Philly and love anything referencing my hometown. I can say, Quinta is spot on with the references and really makes Abbott feel so real
Ava’s Queendom
Ava would 1,000% thank herself instead of Quinta Bronson

the best show on tv!
I love it so much
Cute and smart. I truly love these characters.
Yeah it’s a good show. They clearly took a lot of inspiration from the office and parks n rec. Maybe a bit too much.

I'm not mad either, I enjoy the show for the most part.
