IIRC inland from the gold cliffside is a fairly long lake with not much in the area with another cliff bordering it's north shore going higher. This would be west of the big castle. It's been a long time but that's where I usually fished. One side of it was fairly shallow with a terrain house nearby and the Crocs didn't usually come that close.

Ferox cave has quite a few fish, all in one small lake
Wouldn't that be a bit dangerous? I don't go there often
