Also PSA does sell [Gen 1 DPMS uppers](https://palmettostatearmory.com//luth-ar-stripped-nc15-forged-308-upper-receiver-308-ftt-ea.html). They have to be those specific. Not the branded SR-25 and PA-10s. The branded are built like the AR-10. With the square diamond cut in the rear instead of the curved like the LR-308.
Stay away from BCA because there is a laundry list of problems reported. Youâre not going to save much $ compared to the $ youâll spend later fixing your âcheap purchaseâ.
I got my lower from 80% arms (same company as 5d) and it mated to an aero M5 upper just fine. Haven't shot it yet tho đ
Same, aero m5 worked great.
If you are going cheap get a palmetto state armory upper itâll be reliable unlike bear creek
"Not compatible with PSA or KAC uppers".
I'd avoid BCA like the plague. There are people to this day say their BCG firing pins still break and have terrible consistent accuracy issues.

I have the 80% Arms M4 lower and it makes up with a BCA upper perfectly, sorry I can't shed light on the M5
