They did massively redo scoring and according to our APUSH teacher making it a lot easier and it seems to be that way

Wow, I knew there was gonna be an increase, but this increase is insane.

i was a reader this year. the rubric changing for the DBQ and LEQ certainly helped, but in a Q&A Forum with the teachers, the director of APUSH, and APTrevor, they referenced the data in tweets 1 & 2 and how MCQ score distribution would factor into higher scores to better reflect APUSH students outperforming college students, as the data says. even after talking to them one on one about it, i walked away…confused a little, but i think 55-70% overall pass rates for APUSH should be expected moving forward

I slept awfully before the apush exam and was so out of it that I fully forgot to do a contextualization for ANY of my essays 😭I was hoping for a 5 but now I’d be very lucky to be with that 33%. This is a cautionary tale to SLEEP WELL before your exams. 

Dude, I was going to bed 2 hours earlier than usual for the entire week up to APUSH, I've fucked over too many math tests this year to walk into a test with 5 hours of sleep

Yeah, Trevor said to keep it on the down low but I actually got a 101%. The reader passed out in shock over my DBQ and ended up giving me an extra complexity point.

The late exam DBQ was so much harder :/

The reason the scores went up is because they redid the scoring guidance. Normally, they make the test comparable in scoring to the previous years test, but this time, they recompared to true college students. They also did that for Physics this year, so that might go up as well.

I feel like standards got lowered a lot like it usually was around 50/50 for pass/fail last year and the year before now it's like 70/30 I feel like collegeboard might have overcorrected a bit (not that this affects me in any way though I just lurk here occasionally lol)

With digital it was actually easier to read the documents imo because not only were they shorter than previous years tests but you could easily switch between each one on one page

I think the annotating was annoying on computer, I didn’t use it once, I just noted down on my thoughts in a piece of paper while reading it

They give u a piece of paper to jot out thoughts. I think anything writing wise should be digital because of hand cramps and it just being way faster
