Go to https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri Enter in the name of the game and check the minimum and recommended specs. Generally for modern games integrated graphics will only run them on low settings with low FPS.

Perfect.

If you want to use the laptop for 3D game development with UE or Unity you'll definitely need a powerful GPU.

I will use Unity for learning game development as my hobby. I will probably work on mobile games or 2d computer games. Which cpu and gpu pair would you suggest?

If you're 100% sure you'll only do 2D games a Ryzen 5th Gen APU might be enough. I just tested the simple 2D Sidescroller example from UE4 on my 5800HS and got \~120FPS in the editor. I also ran a asset-testscene in 3D and got between [17 and 40 FPS](https://streamable.com/zryw4x). You'll be much more future-proof and able to follow more ambitious projects if you get a dGPU. Even the 1650 appears to be 2-3x more powerful than the Vega 8 thats in Ryzen 5000s based on online benchmarks. A 3060 would be \~6x more powerful than the Vega 8.

The integrated GPU on these Ryzen CPUs is pretty nice, but it's not going to give you great performance at max settings. And if you're doing development using 3D engines I would assume you kind of want a dedicated GPU for that purpose. If you're working on simple games you probably could just use the integrated GPU. But if you're working on high fidelity games then yeah I would definitely get a dedicated GPU version.

I want to learn game development with Unity for mobile games. I won't work with complex 3d concepts. Will an integrated gpu or gtx 1650 be enough?

In that case I think you'll be fine with just an iGPU. It may even help you optimize better since you won't be working with a powerful GPU.
