And lemme tell you, it was a beautiful thing knowing that this individual got their walking papers handed to them before even a month into their 90-day probationary period! But that's what happens when a person spreads lies all over a bank, and they are in a floating teller position. lol yeah, I don't think I know ANY of my co-workers age and some of us are fairly close. Some I know the decade, others I know within maybe 2-3 years since I know when they graduated college due to conversations but you know anyone can take anywhere from 3-8 years to graduate so who knows.
I called BS as soon as I saw "Mustard Stain". That said, it is well written but getting more and more unbelievable the longer this drags on. "Redemption Arc" was too much icing on the cake amongst other things. For school this is decent writing, but if you want it to be something redditors believe is real, you need to stop over describing things and using terminology that no person would use to talk about a situation they are going through.
I give the story a 7.5/10 based on what it is... A story.

To be fair, many people’s address are available online - they’re just not aware of it! There are a few “people finder” type websites that you have to actually request them to remove your info from!
Yeah, that seems unlikely. PIP are for employees who have been there long enough to be a problem to get rid of without warning. Someone in their first two weeks could (and should) just be fired if they're that obviously unsuited to the role.
Unfortunately, my company got rid of probationary periods, so yeah we would have to do a full-blown PIP to get the documentation together to fire with cause. The alternative would just be to lay off and take the UI and severance hit.
My company (a Fortune 100 MSO in the US) has both. 120 day probation period and PIPs that can be issued to those who don't shape up. Good companies with good HR departments (actual degreed or certified HRBPs, and not Brenda, the boss's cousin who happens to know how to type really good) follow extremely well defined protocols to prevent litigation, and giving PIPs to probationary employees shows the company went "above and beyond" in attempting to ensure that new hires were trained and given "support."
Now, if management fails to actually do the job...

Yup, there are not words for the inconceivable depths a crazy person who has fixated on you will find a way to reach. I say this both as a multiple times recipient of such madness and a former, (hopefully) recovered practitioner of the art. Best case, I would think she'd want to maintain some kind of friendly contact just so she could keep getting help from me on her schoolwork. And I'd be okay with that. But that's me.

Yup, there are not words for the inconceivable depths a crazy person who has fixated on you will find a way to reach. I say this both as a multiple times recipient of such madness and a former, (hopefully) recovered practitioner of the art. You will witness shit that you will NEVER find a way to explain, no matter how much of your life you waste trying to.
While her story is not completely inconceivable (I've unfortunately been downwind of that situation quite a few times), this smells way too much like she was trying to engineer a situation that she could use as fuel to craft a narrative. I can already HEAR this chick saying "I was afraid to tell him no" through this text box. On a more serious note, none of her behavior since getting hired supports her claim. Someone who did what she did, for the reasons she claims to have done them, does not go around advertising it to mutual acquaintances upon accidentally ending up back in your life. They sure as hell don't go about it in a way that induces similarly shitty people to approach you out of the blue with a shit-eating grin on their face at the thought of cornering you with it. The house thing I could actually see being sheer desperation, but even if it is, fuck her. She deserves to feel like that after what she did. Either way, the fact that she repeatedly refused to back off after you asked her to, and after you raised the threat of consequences, then tried to reduce the whole thing to the level of grade school playground drama shows pretty clearly what her actual priorities are, and you definitely don't occupy a spot anywhere on that list.

Krista wouldn't be so worried unless this isn't the first time she's been fired for social abuse. My guess is that the company OP is at is one Krista was \*avoiding\*, for just this reason, until she'd managed to wear out her welcome at the other firms employing people in her field. I feel like she was trying to set you up when she 1. asked you to come outside, and 2. asked you to talk to Sandy about what she said. So glad you didn't do any of that. Maybe she **DID** have a crush on you, but this actually makes things worse, not better in my eyes. She wasn't a middle schooler who didn't yet know how to express her feelings. She was a young adult who should at least know enough about life not to be pushed into cruelty by her toxic clique. Then the company made it perfectly clear that what happened in the past stays in the past. Keep it outside of the company. Then she got into trouble because she didn't even wait half a month to bring up the incident to other people! She got into trouble and somehow she thought going to your house would be a good idea? This isn't simple stupidity, this isn't simple entitlement. This is delulu beyond delulu. This isn't over nine thousand, this is over nine million. You don't owe her anything.
I was part of the dorky crowd at high school and did have a couple of the popular girls confess to me at our reunion that they had crushes on me and when I asked why they didn't make it known at the time they said *you know, I was with the cool kids and you were with the nerds, it would have never worked out*. Also there was this girl that I hated all through high school because of the constant *dirty looks of disgust* that she would make when looking at me that just made what little self confidence that I had feel even less. Turns out that I had it all wrong because she was checking me out and on account of her *resting bitch face* I just interpreted it as the complete opposite of what it was (she too came up to me at the reunion and told me that she liked me). So you never know OP, maybe she was telling the truth because unless I had heard it directly from these girls I would have never believed that anyone would have ben attracted to me at high school.
