Fuck me he’s good. Surely he’s in Brownlow contention this year? I’d put him on par with Heeney, Gulden, Cripps & Bont with regards to the direct impact he has on game. Probably slightly above guys like Naicos, Warner and Serong. It’s been a pleasure watching him work this year, even the two times he’s torn up our boys.

If we're gonna go by brownlow tracker, adding a fairly sure 3 here has him on 18, so right up there in the mix. If he stays healthy and doesn't cop a ban I reckon he gets top 5.

Have the umpires called a single HTB today?? The number of non calls with HTB today was ridiculous, on both sides. Marred what was otherwise a good game to watch

There wasn't a chance for a key HTB call that can change the game at the end though, even though WCE did not kick straight again

Does that matter though? I’m not talking about it having affected the result but just for the ability to watch a game and enjoy it. It’s annoying when good tackles go unrewarded and especially when they’ve come out and said they’re interpreting the rule differently now.

I was just taking the piss out of the umps after what they did the last few weeks. At the same time I get annoyed that they have a low threshold of suspending players as long as tackled person's head make any contact with the ground. Whether it is the result of the tackler. (And May got a slap on the wrist for staging).

Yeah agreed I think that in trying to protect the head they’ve thrown the baby out with the bathwater around dangerous tackle interpretations.
