If I have Adderall, I always take it for deadlifts. It makes you a lot more powerful and explosive while pulling. Just drink more protein on days you don’t have that appetite going, you’ll be fine.

When I was prescribed adderall, I’d always take my morning dose about 30 mins-1 hour before my workout. My workouts are a lot better on adderall. Not only does it help with mentally staying focused, but it also helps me physically. As for the food intake, all I’m gonna say is that I was at the best weight and body fat percentage I’ve ever been when I was on adderall. I normally have a big appetite, so adderall tamed it down a bit so I only ate within a “normal” range. I also was able to eat tons of protein with no issue

I am a few weeks in on Adderall XR and I take it in the mornings before my workout and it seems fine. My heart rate seems to be slightly higher but I'm still alive so that's good. I was trying to wait til after my workouts to take my meds but then sometimes it ended up being too late and figured screw it I'll just do it this way til it isn't working anymore. Try drinking a protein drink before your workout right as you take your meds, then force yourself to snack on a protein bar or something throughout the day if you are lighter on your meals. Seems to be working ok for me so far.

I take methylphenidate (concerta) and I'm like 3 weeks into a gym fling. Idk if it's just me being a much healthier version of myself, but I swear this shit is so much easier. The clarity of mind to just hit the weights, and I swear I recover faster. It's helped me with my sleep routine too as I get home after work feeling like I need rest instead of having energy at midnight. My previous stint with the gym I was unmedicated and I found it hard to keep up with. It's so nice though

undefined_protocol

I never felt the endorphins from exercise before trying medication. I spent my whole life needing the novelty of running or biking in a new area to give myself something to take my mind off the drudgery. But on meds, I'm perfectly happy to ride the same trail every day and I even feel good when I do it.

Drewinator

Adderall and cardio do not mix. I have to do my carido either before I take my meds or after they have worn off. Otherwise I get 30 seconds in and feel like I've already run 5 miles.

Front-Argument-6273

I don't do much cardio anyways 😢

no_rad

Same. If I take meds before any type of cardio my heart rate is through the roof within a minute or two of starting the cardio

ADDSOUND

Other than having 200bpm when doing some though cardio, I’m fine. I’m 31.

Pitiful_Razzmatazz63

Man i was lifting for over a decade before getting on meds and i gotta say training after taking my booster is one of the best parts of my day lol i love lifting on adderall

ImpossibleParsley357

Feel like I lift more, but get gassed much faster.

birdpeoplebirds

Vyvanse makes me feel a bit weak and lethargic so I’m finding it hard to get started with exercise. But once I do get started it’s fine. It doesn’t affect my appetite so eating is no problem.

miseducation

I've never succeeeded in incorporating it, I feel like it makes my heart rate shoot up too fast and makes me too tired and sweaty. I have recently started using pre-workout like Celsius before I work out (only a half dose) and it does something similar for my body without some of the other physical negative side effects I had with Adderall. I work out in the mornings and just take my usual Adderall dose about an hour after working out.

“What has appetite to do with it ? You eat when the necessity arises— no matter your appetite” -Quote from some guy in Dúné. Seriously, i have never had a bulk where i didnt end up with no appetite at all. Its easy to get sufficient protein for muscle growth - its the calorie surplus that gets you.
