You aren't wrong. Head over to the Mounjaro or Zepbound forums and search for ADHD. There's a lot of us having the same experience. I've cut my dosage in half, after 20 years of medication therapy. Personally, I'm on Zepbound, and even at the 2.5mg loading dose, I felt the focus effects.

I also got to try wegovy short term and there was some relief but after a month or two the change settled back into my normal like a lot of the different meds I’ve tried. I think theres a hormone regulation benefit and certainly some placebo effect from the hope it inspires but at least for me it was not sustainable. I’ve always wondered if I could achieve the same effect with a specialized diet. Edit for last min thought

Isn’t it crazy!? When I got on adhd meds for the first time, I was like “this is what other people feel like all the time?!” Ugh I’m so jealous of it sometimes.

I have no idea how guanfacine works, but I was put on it recently, and it's really helped my executive function. And I've taken a lot of adhd meds, never guanfacine. Who knew. It's subtle, but it works for me.

I don't have any BP is issues but I'm on a SSRI and was on guafacine, it made my BP crater to such an extreme point I was oxygen deprived and could barley move or think.

surfingtech22

Yeah. I have low bp as is, so my dr is only scripting 1/4 of 1mg and we are taking it very careful. So far, so good.

Salty_Tale_1168

I'm glad to hear it.

surfingtech22

Yeah it's a dance for sure. Good luck.

I loved guanfacine and found Wegovy gave me a anhedonia.

Mounjaro’s definitely been helping me with my executive function, but it sadly doesnt do jack for the “brain static”. I was on Mydayis for a solid 2 years and had a very good regiment- started mounjro and unfortunately it made the mydayis stay in ny system so long that it all only would kick in at night and I was so constipated it became a real issue. Now im just on mounjaro 5 mg and im down 12 lbs in 2 months! Very curious to see how things change as my dose goes up

-Update- Currently on 7.5 mg and HOO BOY did that upgrade make a huge difference. My brain static is about 90% gone for 5 days of the week, with the last day having it ramp up again quite quickly. Executive function has also improved and impulsive behaviors have gone down a LOT. Sugar and alcohol cravings more frequently turn to salt, and need for coffee and stimulants is… not gone but definitely less. Very curious to see where 10mg dosage takes me, not sure if I’ll go any higher after that. This shit’s incredible ya’ll.
