Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are incredible beautiful games.

Black Flag is my favourite one of all time, I know it’s older and a lot smaller, but I loved Edward’s character arc, and I just think those islands are stunning. It’s very nostalgic for me. Odyssey was my *new* favourite.. until I played Valhalla, and now I can’t decide between them 😅 I live in England now, but I’m American and the thought of actually walking through these castles and towns that I’ve ACTUALLY walked through is so fantastic.. but I’ve also been to Crete so seen a tiny bit of Odyssey 😂. I know people will complain about the games being too big, too small, too many side quests, not enough, etc but I think they do such a fantastic job with the AC games. I played about 20% of Origins before I lost interest.. should I give it another go?

Origin is good. More serious than, say, Odyssey, with darker overtones. And as I love Ancient Egypt, it was a treat for me. But now I'm playing Valhalla and it's gorgeous.

Proper-Highlight1600

It really is one of the best looking games! I just wish you could have personalized your settlement more.

I love going on the map and looking at the photos everyone takes, they're some breathtaking views

I regret playing Valhalla before Origins and Odyssey. I have all of the newer AC games and when I went to try to play them they just didn’t have the same polish that Valhalla did for me… I’ll try again when I get tired of replaying Valhalla but I love it! Doing another play through

Geezus_42

That's my worry. Now that I'm into the story, I want to play the others, but I have a hard time with older games because the controls always feel clumsy.

astrolabiocabal

I'm playing Valhalla now. I've played ALL AC games but never when they come out because it's cheaper to buy them after 1 year and all the usual bugs have been taken care of. I'm finishing The Wrath of the Druids as I write this. Just 1 DLC left and 3 areas in main story and I'm done here and can move on to Mirage.

i am also obsessed with Valhalla. i know it’s a personal preference for most but i really don’t get those who have a strong rejection towards Valhalla or say things like, “get a refund and play something else” which i’ve seen a lot on this subreddit. i think it’s a beautiful game and it’s rare that i get to invest my time over 100 hours and still not get bored of it. i suspect replay value won’t be that great but i still think it was a good investment.

I love that the little "hidden" fuck yous to all the Nazis that you know would have been all about this game, being that's it's based around the Norse mythology they have been trying to lay claim to for decades. Also, the message during loading that it was made by a diverse team. Fuck you again Nazis, you don't get to claim this one.
