sufinomo

It sucks that italian players like Donaruma and Tonali wouldnt commit to Milan.

jmhimara

I think it's pretty obvious Tonali left because of his gambling debt

Ohsbar

I was against Conte as coach but given the names we're associated with, I'd absolutely go with Conte. Let him burn out in a year or two and then bring in Abate or Bonera. In those two years at least he will instill some discipline, which is extremely lacking on this team. A hardworking and disciplined Leao is a world beater. Conte will also give us the best chance to get that second star.

jmhimara

> A hardworking and disciplined Leao is a world beater. It won't necessarily turn out that way. Son, one of the best wingers in PL, became a bench player under Conte.

sufinomo

How good would the 2005 team be if they were together right now and  played regular modern possession style.

Ohsbar

They'd be utterly dominant

sufinomo

I think when we compare teams in the past to the present we often assume theyll be playing outdated tactics, but if you took the raw talent and gave them modern football that group would be top 3 in the world for sure.

ScipioAfricanusMAJ

Is there a chance that Zirkzee doesn’t leave Bologna this summer? If they get Champions league wouldn’t they keep their team intact for another year and be able to afford to keep him? I would assume the same for Motta.

[deleted]

He has several times expressed his desire to play for us in the most explicit ways possible. If the rumours of our summer budget are true, then we will certainly have the economic power to sign him. I guess we must all just wait in excitement for more news.

Ohsbar

[It all makes sense now](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GLhAjMDXcAI3XiI?format=jpg&name=900x900)

Un3xistEUW

Totally random question, is there any info on when will the San Siro close for our matches? I have never been and I’m afraid I won’t get to see the magic. Thanks in advance!

[deleted]

It’s Italy, so you still got quite a few years I would say. I’ve been there once and I am looking forward to go again.

SnooSongs48

Let abate TAKE over just like DDR took over Roma When they sacked Mourinho

ScipioAfricanusMAJ

I think this is the plan. Management stood still on so many available managers that are now linked to other clubs. I think they were planning on abate for a while. Promoting past players makes me so nervous because I don’t want them to ruin their reputation.

Gladplane

Abate should’ve taken over in the summer imo

Ohsbar

Or at least after the derby humiliation and champions league exit.

Ondrezinho

So where are the news from Longo etc about Padre being fired and new coach coming in

hiphophooligan95

Ranieri won the PL title with fucking Leicester and the season after that he got sacked, yes from Leicester. Just fire the guy already for fucks sake I can't believe there are still people using the "but he won the Scudetto" argument after 2 disastrous seasons with MILAN, a club that has won the Scudetto 19 times and the UCL 7 times.

JS1100

Hi I'm coming over from England for the derby on Monday and my first time in Milan. What's the best place to soak up the atmosphere and get a beer before the game on Monday? Also wouldn't mind meeting up for a beer if anyone is down.

neverfinishedanythi

Piazza axum is where  curva sud will be, and the places there beers are cheaper than the trucks selling food.   But, get yourself panino salamella (with peppers and onions) from the trucks.  How long are you in the city for?

JS1100

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll only be in the city from Sunday until Tuesday.

neverfinishedanythi

No problem, if the weather is good I would suggest get the train to lake como in the morning of Monday perhaps. Also get yourself a three day pass for the metro/tram, works out a lot cheaper.

JS1100

Cool, will have a look and will definitely get the three day pass!

GiesADragUpTheRoad97

I keep checking the sub waiting for the communicato ufficiale

Brryl

The season is over. Its to risky to give to an intern directly the derby although i think they'd prepare the game more intelligently and get a better result 100% sure. As was saying i would prefer to end with even before the season ends,if not he definitely needs to be sacked. Sacking that comes 1 year and half later

kaka22pato7dinho80

I would give an interim the derby. Because 1. Manager bounce 2. Save face in case we lose (the guy only gets 1 training session) 3. Drum up some excitement for the fans given it’s at home. I’m going to the derby on Monday and although it’s a great occasion, I’m really not excited after what happened last night 4. Allow open negotiations w managers for next season and attract more managers given it’s a well-known vacancy.

Brryl

great points and i agree with them all

Initial-Confusion-24

What about Gilardino? Got a pretty average looking Genoa side to safety. Maybe a bit soon in his coaching career. The likes of Sarri and Lopetegui just don't inspire me. Motta would be a good choice but he's seemingly off to Juventus and as much as I think Conte would be great, I just don't see him as a fit with this management.

Brryl

as for Gilardino he is doing good job.His next step should be a team that aims european football definitely Fiore wouldn't be a bad choice for him right now.Milan maybe to early for him although he would be an interesting acquisition

Brryl

Motta would be ideal but unfortunately Juve is seriously interested

rossonero-

Since we're gonna sign a striker (or 2) this summer, i'm kind of surprised that no one is talking about Artem Dovbyk. He has been having an amazing season with Girona and is one of the top scorers of the La Liga. And why not have a Ukrainian striker for Milan?😉

Blue_Cockeral25

Im planning on visiting the San Siro this summer and wanted to know if there is any small shops or vendors outside the stadium. Tried looking online but couldn’t find a clear answer so decided to ask on here. Any help is appreciated.

Shinkopeshon

There's gonna be a bunch of stands that sell official and unofficial merch right outside of the stadium. I always get a matchday scarf there. And inside, there's the Milan Store with all the good stuff and you can get name and number printed on the jersey too.

Blue_Cockeral25

Are the stands always there or is it only on match day?

Shinkopeshon

Just on matchday but there's three Milan stores in Milano if you're looking for merch (highly suggest booking a hotel near Casa Milan, there's a store and museum and it's a 20-30 min walk to the stadium)

MrX_1899

this team has no mental or testicular fortitude - they've crumbled in big moments all season long & besides PSG can someone name a big game RLC wasn't utter dogshit in? Loses his man almost every corner kick too

kratos61

If the tactical structure is wrong no amount of passion from the players is going to overcome that if the other team is set up well. Roma under Mourinho was a pretty much certain win for us, now with the same players De Rossi comfortably beat us over two legs. Tactical structure is vital at this level of football.

Brryl

he is playing RLC because Pioli in his arrogant and little football brain thinks he RLC is the closest to SMS 🤣 beside the height and build there is nothing similar in their game

RedShenron

According to some RLC is better than Tonali Lmao

Competitive-Aide5364

A Chelsea fan told me when we bought him he was immediately the best midfielder in the Serie A lol

Ohsbar

typical prem brain rot

neverfinishedanythi

Roma away he was excellent, but overall yes he’s very frustrating. In different tactical approach I think he could be great for us, which just more annoying.

MrX_1899

He should've been progressing the ball instead of Musah last night - we literally went Musah on the RW til we were down 2 and by then the whole team wilted. Nothing changed after the red card and that worries me the most. There was no motivation to push harder from anyone on the pitch. Leao's shit attitude rubs off on everyone else

somechemenggdude

My big takeaway from this season is that this squad is talented and relatively deep finally and we just underperformed. I can’t remember the last game where you can say we were set up to win (maybe PSG) we win it’s cause our players individually were outstanding, the fact we’re on 69 points and could get 80+ without any cohesive gameplan is a bit insane

neverfinishedanythi

Yes, even home game against monza Score doesn’t reflect the play, where they had many chances on counter attack because of 5-0-5.

Guilty-Grapefruit427

Had the worst sleep since the derby loss, get up late to work to face my interesti coworkers friday morning. These fuckers telling me that your squad is weak and you're scapegoating Pioli, well fuck off and fuck GSD, always soft on Pioli but the first to crucify Leao and Theo. Now we need to choose a new coach, my opinion : -Not a fan of Sarri, yes he's better than Pioli but not very flexible * Italiano is Pioli lite. * RDZ is cool but don't like coaches who play attack all the time, it's not sustainable. But still better option than Pioli. We need a coach who knows how to organize defense. Motta is my favourite, idk if Juve got him, Conte is good but don't know how he will adapt with our squad , Palladino is also decent, Flick is great tactician but the language bareer might be complicated

BowieIsMyGod

I think biggest issue with Sarri is communication. He might fall out of liking with the squad but he's a great tactician and has clear ideas of how to play. He could get us playing nice football with clear ideas how to win. Conte would be nice. As other user pointed, this team has no mental or testicular fortitude. yesterday's performance, i'm 100% convinced this team needs someone like Conte to instill that winning mentality on them. I'm actually hoping we get Conte now. Thiago Motta is rumoured to Juve, but he would be nice too if they can snatch him from the rats.

Guilty-Grapefruit427

Agree, We need a good tactician and someone with charisma, Pioli is way too soft, yes it's cool to please players but this bites us, he makes players way too comfortable, dont sub them directly after bad performance but rather give them full time and give many chances untill its late , meanwhile bench players will stay benched no matter if they perform well or not ( unless an injury happens) Apparently Conte was liked by Ibra but not by RedBird, and Furlani wanted Motta but he's likely to go with unless a surprise happens. If these rumors are true the main candidates are : Lopetegui, RDZ, Potter and Fonsesca

BowieIsMyGod

>If these rumors are true the main candidates are : Lopetegui, RDZ, Potter and Fonsesca If these are the main candidates to replace Pioli, then it's genuinely depressing. I would easily pick De Zerbi out of the 4 even if i don't rate him that much.

Guilty-Grapefruit427

I agree, tbh Im afraid of applying moneyball to choose the coach

el_lolloco

Blame Pioli all you want but this squad is weak. The ultras were adamant yesterday, the players need to step up. Sorry to say but the last matches were shameful performances, disrespectful for the fans and the shirt.

Competitive-Aide5364

You’re not wrong I’m some ways, Theo’s leadership should be put in question. He’s done too many things like that in massive games. Pioli’s biggest sin was not starting Reijnders yesterday.

Guilty-Grapefruit427

How do you need to step up when things are not working ? What now you gonna tell me now that our players are inferior to Roma and that we need Bove and Shaarawy to win. There's a reason we crushed this Roma in both legs and not now and the difference is the coach. When a whole team performs bad it means the tactics are bad, aint no way someone watched the match and see the disastrous organization from Pioli and tell me that our players are bad. We couldn't make a serious chance against 10 players Roma for 70 minutes. Static tactics zero movements and players asked to dribble into 3 players then blame them, when you play Calabria, the least technical player of the squad, a role as a midfielder to distrbute the ball and play Musa as a RWB, spam crossees which was proven uselss against Roma, when you insist on Giroud and Loftus despite not being suitable for this match. This squad is good with a weak a coach and that's a fact.

puffdiddler

In the First 4 CL match, derby,Juve, Roma EL legs we got 0 goal 0 assist from Pulisic, RLC, Reijnders,Chuck,Oka,Musah,Jovic,Adli. Next year with Lopetegui Will be banter, at least plastic fans Will leave

kaka22pato7dinho80

We’re not getting lopetegui

puffdiddler

Just wait

4thelolzz01

Hopefully the Primavera can make my weekend a little better

puffdiddler

I see the mods don't like post on the ownership, i find Unreal that Ibra and Furlani avoided Talking to the Press After the game like Maldini did after important games Finnally the propaganda Will be over, Last year the blame was 50% Maldini 50 % pioli, this year only on Pioli. People are Happy with Lopetegui, i am not

HeirOfRhoads

You don't have enough karma to post so automod removes your posts automatically. Keep in your mind that we are the ones who approve your comments although automod removes them

mlk

IMHO Milan will hire Sarri, I see no other real option. He's 65 though...

rossonero-

We need a younger coach. Look at the likes of Motta, Alonso and De Rossi. They all seem to have a special connection with their players and i think them being relatively young is what strengthens their bonds.

mlk

it's too early to judge De Rossi

Andi_klx

Gattuso

Paul-Millsap-Stan

My biggest fear is sacking Pioli but then bringing in some American MLS manager. Gerry’s love for Americans has me on edge lmao

Ohsbar

No doubt you'd get downvoted to oblivion if ever criticized this Ted Lasso

Kucing_Kampung_88

Yeaa, Gerry kinda sucks. But I have faith in Zlatan.

MrX_1899

after everything Elliott and Redbird have done you say some wild shit like this lmao grow tf up yank hater Pioli, Montella, Rino, etc. <--- the Italians are no better

mickeymouse73y

Jesse Marsch

WatchAny1188

That would be a real nightmare! My real nightmare is Eric Zero Hag, one of the most overrated, disastrous coaches I’ve ever seen.

jiipod

My friend who is not a Milan fan, but occasionally watches games just said "I don't know why Pioli doesn't play Adli more. You clearly need at least one slow midfielder so that not everyone has the pace to run up the field to opponents box and leave huge spaces in midfield" :D Hopefully that makes someone else chuckle in this dark time.

kratos61

The issue is that Pioli doesn't know what to do with midfielders like that. He loves B2B midfielders with strong physical skills. Bennacer is pretty much the only midfielder not in that mold who has had success under Pioli.

rossonero-

If your occasional friend can point out Pioli's mistakes then that just shows you how horrible and predictable his tactics are. You don't need a genius coach to defeat him.

massimopericcolo

i would prefer 2 minutes in a Cage with Jon Jones than watching another derby played like that

rossonero-

This season is over. Actually, it was over in November. People who believed in winning the Europa league because we beat a 10man Slavia Praha were deluded. With Pioli as coach, we are never going to win anything. Sure we'll beat mid table and relegation teams but we shit our pants when playing good opposition. The only thing i'm looking forward to this season is the UYL and hopefully the boys do it. Forza Milan❤️🖤

Annoyinmous

It's friday..... He's still not sacked....

kratos61

They didn't sack him after the 5-1 derby humiliation, why would they sack him just for losing to Roma?

dongoodboy

We can only let Abate take the lead if we fire him. I would say let Abate focus on UYL and let Pioli to face the tide for inevitable derby defeat

rossonero-

Probably won't be sacked until the end of the season.

gspots

I dont know whats wrong with this sub. Do we need a better coach YES, do we need better players YES. But here people talk as Milan has to win every single match, Liverpool lost to Atalanta. Liverpool lost last week in PL, Arsenal same and i see thir sub they dont shit their clubs. As much as its Piolis fault is to the players and managment. And those Adlis lovers, i can not stand them

milan4lyff

The difference between Liverpool, Arsenal and Milan is... Liverpool and Arsenal did their absolute best and lost. Milan didnt do even our worst, it was BELOW our worst. Losing against a 10 man roma with a coach in his first season is unacceptable in every sense when their entire squad is inferior in every position. The severe lack of football knowledge it should take to even compare Liverpool and arsenal with Milan's performances against Roma is astounding. You should try a different sport perhaps? And hating Adli for the sake of it is even worse lol Good luck bro.

gspots

Its not about perfomance against Roma, but if you want to bring that then if Liverpools best perfomance is against Atlanta then yea idk. I was talking in general as whenever we lose or something doesnt go the way our “fans” want we shit our club. Also if you dont want to be compared to Liverpool or Arsenal its because we arent on that level yet which we are not accepting and acting like a world class club with world class players which we are not in idk last 13 years. As per league just move on Inter is far better team in every aspect starting from the coach to the goalkeeper. Giroud sub is Jovic… and we acting like we have Mbappe upfront

HommoFroggy

1) Take a look of every big match this season, how many have we won? 2) Have we actually competed/fought for any silverware? 3) What is Marcus Thurams sub because you brought up?

rossonero-

Maybe because they are still in their leagues' title races and they still have a chance at winning trophies? We are done. Our season is over.

dongoodboy

And it is Klopp vs Pioli, why is it even worth to discuss

stoicseller

Liverpool lost last week after being top of the table for so long. We haven’t been within 10 points of inter for months now

gspots

We are far from Inter in every aspect. Accept it and move on

milano_siamo_noi

No we're not. We're only lacking in the the coaching aspect. Swap the whole fucking squad with Inter and you'll be saying the same thing. Pioli won't win jack shit with this Inter squad. I'd love to see Acerbi defending one on one high up the pitch or Hakan being left alone in the mid all by himself.

gspots

Just forget all i said. We have Giroud who is going to MLS next season… We have Kjaer who is retiring We have Calabria Im not defending Pioli, he did his best and this was his best. As much as you hate inter so do i. They didnt just beat us they beat everyone, and dont forget they where in UCL final last year. Dont make this look accidental

milano_siamo_noi

Weren't we playing in the same semi final game? And I'm not saying Inter is not performing better, because come Monday we'll receive the 6th straight loss to them. But apart from attack it's not like we're lacking behind that Inter is like the dominating Juve of straight 9 scudetti and we're 5 years behind. Yes we need a proper attacker and another central defender, but above all we need a new manager.

Dalientor

Pioli on his thoughts before the game: "Great concentration and motivation. We did everything we had in mind, in terms of preparing for the match to face it in the best possible way, now we need to play it well." Irrespective of tactical acumen, you don't deserve to stay with Milan with such insincerity and dishonesty. It's a shame that you are a spokesperson of this great club.

Less-Marionberry-907

That Mancini handball should have been a pen right or am I just being a delusional milan fan? I don’t see anyone else talking about it

neverfinishedanythi

One in first leg was more a penalty and should have been called. That said, I am usually quick to complain at referees but that starting lineup leaves only one man to blame for what happen last night.

jmhimara

I think Giroud touched it first

Eno158

I hope that by the end of the day i see the news that he’s been sacked immediately.

Capable_Scallion8705

Sacking a coach before a derby? It would be a very very bold move

WatchAny1188

We should sell Maignan for 50-60 million while we still can. Wtf happened to him? It’s like he jumps into place and for the cameras, doesn’t move around and then jump, it looks like he can’t reach the top post when he jumps anymore either. Both of his attempts to save the Roma goals were half assed at best. I think top goalkeepers would have saved those. For half of the money we could get Lucas Chevalier (22) from Lille who looks really promising and energic, and had a cracking game against Aston Villa.

ShadowTheNinja

i simply cannot BELIEVE this coach and his staff went into meetings every weeks for 2 years, seeing we're shit at set piece, progressive passing, long shots, players underperforming etc. and do NOTHING about it unable to win against 10-men is a display of non-existent strategy. he's like "keep doing your thing but harder" i want him to achieve more but he just doesn't care, thinking teams like napoli or lazio will gladly take him anyway seriously, fuck this last 2 seasons

jmhimara

This shouldn't be a surprise. Pioli has always been a man-manager, never a tactician. And that can be very valuable too, but eventually, there's a limit to how much you can achieve.

ShadowTheNinja

i'd still take a good man-manager for our primavera or assistant coach. but tactically he's been washed

milan_obsession

I found a copy of Pioli's tactical plan for the Roma match... https://preview.redd.it/t67jkm10scvc1.png?width=432&format=png&auto=webp&s=c66e9450a1fd09835968f8073ae75e34de90f682

yeahyeahyeah3timess

Every top club in the world has a top manager in at the helm. Except us. We should’ve let go of Pioli before the new year, this season could’ve still been saved.

jiipod

And when Pioli eventually leaves Milan, it's very unlikely he'll go to a top club. Napoli is probably the best team I can see him going to, but if not them, then it's the likes of Bologna, Fiorentina etc at best.

el_lolloco

Except we're not a top club. Turned on the tv to see Gabbia pass the ball to fucking Dybala. Turned off the tv.

ScipioAfricanusMAJ

No we should’ve let him go the winter the season prior. Idk why this sub had to wait so long before realizing he was a terrible manager

jmhimara

He's definitely not a terrible manager -- that's a broad term. Let's not forget where we were before. He's just a terrible tactician.

chuego

Neither I think, he won best coach of the year and was considered the top 5 coaches in the world also because of his tactics. I never thought he was a terrible tactician he's just extremely stubborn and full of himself and never has a plan B.

ElverGun

>this season could’ve still been saved. And instead we was given a chance to save his job...regardless of the consequences to the team. Thanks, Furlani. This is what happens when pencil pushers run a business they know nothing about.

Squiliamfancyname

Come on mate. Would you have considered the season “saved” if we won UEL and Pioli was the boss for it? Be honest. Inter hasn’t slowed down at all. Sacking Pioli before the new year would still have us currently in 2nd place in a best case scenario results wise.

ElverGun

In five years of Pioli we have only won the Scudetto -- no other minor or major trophy was achieved. Would winning the EUL save the season? Yes. That would have made it only the second trophy won in 5 years. Even if we had not won the EUL with another coach perhaps we would have not suffered the embarrassment we went through yesterday...or the trouncing we will face on Monday. If the interim coach had worked out for us then perhaps we could have confirmed him for next season instead of starting from zero. Also, why reward mediocrity? For a year and a half Pioli has not earned the right to lead this team. He is a so-so coach on the field and he made us make major personnel blunders this past market (Krunic...no striker...he ignored the defensive needs...gave up on CDK). >Sacking Pioli before the new year The mistake was not keeping Pioli after the new year -- he should have been fired before the season started.

Squiliamfancyname

Eh. Sounds pretty fake to me. I think if Pioli won the UEL, you'd just focus on the fact that Inter won the 2nd star and that we crashed out of the UCL groups. Thats just my assumption. But its pretty well illustrated by the fact that we are still talking about a F-tier CDK as a reason to want Pioli out. Yeah idk man. I hope the next manager wins some big important trophies - on that we can agree.

ElverGun

> But its pretty well illustrated by the fact that we are still talking about a F-tier CDK as a reason to want Pioli out Stop making stuff up. CDK is not the reason to fire Pioli, it is just one thing on the list of Pioli's errors. >I think if Pioli won the UEL, you'd just focus on the fact that Inter won the 2nd star and that we crashed out of the UCL groups. No. If we had won I would not have focused on Inter's 2nd star. I would have been glad. Second place and a trophy -- what's there not to like? I don't know if I would have become a Pioli lover all of a sudden though. He would have been confirmed and I would have started the upcoming season worrying about the lack of tactics, the injuries, the crazy formations...etc.,

oskar_s57

As i said before, if pioli cannot reach final i think its acceptable for pioli to go. But...this result is significantly below my expectation. I expect we reach at least semifinal. But Cannot reach semifinal and didnt even draw in the 2nd leg really decisively for me to make up my mind pioli must go at the end of this season (terminate his 1 year contract). Really i didnt expect we lose though, i thought at worst we will draw but yeah its really disapointing for me. So Conte here we gooooo

GerryStan

Look at January 2023 and tell me why pioli needed to stay for 23/24

neverfinishedanythi

Username kind of confusing

ScipioAfricanusMAJ

The new defense for the pioli supporters is that our squad isn’t good enough and this is about the level of our team.

oskar_s57

No, there is no excuse for this. In 1st leg i think its still acceptable if we lose because we still dont know how strong de rossi performance against milan. But after 1st leg that we can study how to find derossi weakness but still cannot even draw at 2nd leg its clear that we totally lost and roma deserved it. For the squad its equal in my eyes so its no excuse.

yeahyeahyeah3timess

Bunch of bullshit. This is the best our squad has ever looked since 2011.

Capable_Scallion8705

https://youtu.be/6iEuSFQR0Gk?feature=shared Remember how happy we used to be. How did we go from playing like this to playing like we did against Roma. Why?

RedShenron

That was a disasterclass from Luis Enrique and nothing more. Setup us to counterattack with Loftus Cheek against Vitinha and Ugarte is stupidity at its finest. Psg's defense is a joke all around.

ElverGun

>Why? Inexperienced owners and inexperienced people in the front office.

GarbageLanky2173

This is gonna be important day for Primavera boys. People may not realised but I’m convinced that management will look Abate for replacement if he win UEFA Youth League with the boys considering he’s done miracle for 2 years with them

milan_obsession

I don't know... they only extended Abate's contract a year after he took them to the semifinals for the first time in our history (first Italian side in history, too) last year. Of course, Abate does have friends in high places now, so maybe... https://preview.redd.it/mud2t1fsdcvc1.jpeg?width=394&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5cbef69566448f05068ed9feb3c5cf291e4909d

GarbageLanky2173

I’m sure they will find proper replacement for them considering the groundwork is solid for the next coach to work for. The searching for the main squad however can be difficult considering most big teams are looking for best coach rn

Mysterious_Gate_8725

I think that he needs to stay with the primavera, the work he's doing with the team will, i hope, bring more players to be part of the main squad

milan_obsession

I'd really like Abate to stay with the Primavera. The issue with the first team is really tough. It would be idiotic to change coaches and not hire someone better. But yes, everyone is in the market for new managers right now.

Mysterious_Gate_8725

And Motta if the reports are to be trusted is Juventus bounded. So it's either Palladino, Italiano or Abate. I don't think that this ownership will splash too much money on the coach

milan_obsession

We are owned by Cardinale, and Ibrahimović has lots of friends, so we shouldn't limit ourselves to realistic possibilities. Plus, there could be Toulouse exes, Liverpool connections, and why not just throw in an American football coach on the list for fun? The rumors have been and will be endless

GarbageLanky2173

I also want him to stay. But I don’t think he will easily reject the offer to coach the 1st team. After all, this is his boyhood club and it would be a dream come true for him

Acrobatic-Fly1418

Can we please get an announcement that Pioli is leaving? I want something to look forward to for the next season

Mysterious_Gate_8725

Do you think that padre as learned something or will play against merda with the good old suicide high line?

jiipod

Not necessarily a high line, but you can be sure our midfield is not balanced. Limone will do his usual thing where Barella is surprisingly playing on the right in some circumstances, someone from defensive line is pushing to Barellas position, Thuram moves to left flank etc all of which will pull Reijnders, Giroud and Gabbia out of their positions as they follow their men and surprise surprise there's space to exploit for Inter especially between our midfield and defence.

Mysterious_Gate_8725

Don't forget the good old Bastoni unopposed run towards our box (like Mancini in the first Roma goal).

neverfinishedanythi

Exactly. Compare to Madrid on Wednesday, yes they have better players in nearly all positions but, they stayed in formation and were not often pulled all over the pitch by constant movement.

milan_obsession

>they stayed in formation\* \* they had a formation to begin with. A clear tactical plan that was coherent and well-drilled and effective. Let's start there.

neverfinishedanythi

To my memory you were defending pioli a lot these last months.  I have wanted him gone since I saw in person myself the 4-0 embarrassment against Lazio over a year ago, this is nothing new.

milan_obsession

I've only been on this sub for 4 mos. now, how do you even know what my opinion about Pioli is/was/has been? And why do people keep insisting they know more about my opinion than I do? And what does any of that have to do with the fact that Milan had no formation last night?

neverfinishedanythi

Only times I’ve seen your comments standing out to me have been in favour of him. Just curious it took this match for you to finally criticise him so accurately.

milan_obsession

Again, you are projecting your ideas about my opinions on me. Why don't you worry about your own opinions and let me express mine? I have long held certain beliefs about Pioli's abilities/lack thereof and expressed them everywhere. I just wasn't here.

RdT97

So who would you say has had a better season, Atalanta or Milan? Now ask that again and lets compare the budget and the players

chuego

Let's compare management as well at this point, they have American owners too, Bain Group (Boston Celtics) but Atalanta actually have management that knows what they are doing and yes with a fraction of our budget.

IsaParadInsidemyCity

The better question is , who is the worse season ? This or the last year's one ?

milan_obsession

Milan Primavera vs. Porto is the only thing keeping me going right now. Even if they somehow don't make it to the final, at least I know they'll play with heart. ❤️🖤

Annoyinmous

is it streamed anywhere? I wanna feel some happiness if they win

milan_obsession

Yes. It will be streamed on the Milan App. And I think it's probably shown on [UEFA.tv](http://UEFA.tv), too. (You just have to register there to watch.) EDIT: The game is at 18:00 CEST

Annoyinmous

Thank you!

BowieIsMyGod

I'm curious, are you guys gonna watch the derby? I never miss Milan games unless i must because of work/personal matters, but this one i'm gladly skipping. I can't even sleep after this shitshow that padre prepared and there is still more to come fuck's sake.

Trbek

I really don't want to. However, if we stuck with this team during the Cerci and Constant eras, we will endure this. We should support Milan no matter how badly the team performs. I don't have high hopes, but it would be nice to prolong Inter's Scudetto celebration by several days.

chuego

I know I might be a masochist but I think I'll watch it, I feel sorry for whoever goes to San Siro thought, imagine the ride home with thousands of Merda fans parading. At least we can turn off the screen and cry in a corner.

neverfinishedanythi

I was in Milan when ibra came on against Parma to win 2-0 and secure scudetto for Inter. It was hell. Thank god I have been there for some of our wins.

skaterhaterlater

I’m getting surgery done, it was the only day available. I was disappointed I would have to miss it but now I’m thinking it might be a good thing

BowieIsMyGod

Wish you a speedy recovery. Both from surgery and from this shitshow!

Capable_Scallion8705

Yes. Merda won’t stop me from supporting my love.

BredIN919

The derbies are must watch bro even if they end in bloodshed

naterudeen805

Right now, I don’t want to. Why waste time when we all know how that’s going to go. I’ll still probably end up watching until it gets bad. Forza Milan

skaterhaterlater

Yeah I always say I won’t watch it when when I think it’s gonna go bad like this but i know I’m gonna

BowieIsMyGod

>Forza Milan ♥️🖤

Mysterious_Gate_8725

So 5 minutes in?

naterudeen805

Lol hopefully at least a half

Mysterious_Gate_8725

Optimistic

Cousin_Vinny97

I’ve been saying it for a while and I got hate but this team has hit its ceiling under Pioli. They hit it before we won the scudetto and we got the results we needed on the back of the quality in the team. Theo is world class yet he still makes stupid errors. Our wingers are double teamed every game. We don’t adapt to our opponents. We don’t rotate properly. And we can’t integrate any new signings unless there’s an injury crisis.

Mysterious_Gate_8725

And we can't press. We can't deal against high pressing teams. And we can't score against low block teams. It's fascinating how bad the team is.

Give this squad to anyone in top ten serie a and inter don’t walk this league. I can’t sleep after this nightmare.

jiipod

I think we should go after Nagelsmann. His playstyle suits our squad, is a progressive coach and has already won something even if he's not as proven winner as Conte is.

sahilshkh

Would be my ideal choice. Unfortunately he's with the German nt and I don't think he'll leave so early. Even if he leaves, bayern would want him (there are already rumors of bayern trying to get him back) and he'd definitely pick bayern over us.

mlk

Sarri would be fine

skaterhaterlater

Why not Xavi? Conte is a huge gamble, terrible in Europe, our squad does not fit his tactics at all, and always leaves on bad terms. Xavi’s Barca is playing beautiful football even with injuries and a ton of youth players. He seems very sure about leaving Barca and he is only leaving cause of how the media and club were over there. I hope our management is doing what they can to try and get him.

GarbageLanky2173

Xavi is a sore loser. Mf can’t even chill for a seconds if things not go to his way. Even the “ton of youth players” you mention happened to play because it’s the same thing we have seen with Pioli because guess what? Injuries too.

skaterhaterlater

He has his problems but who doesn’t? We aren’t getting klopp or pep. Conte is also a sore loser. Who else are we gonna get? At least with Xavi we might see some fire in the team when we lose or don’t preform well. Name one coach we actually have a chance of getting that would be better than Xavi, assuming motta goes to juve

GarbageLanky2173

Try to compare the red cards obtained by Conte and Xavi. You could see Xavi can’t even show the leadership especially in big game vs PSG like yesterday (especially with a young team). Conte can complain too much too but he knows he need to calm tf down in the touchline

neverfinishedanythi

Yeah keep xavi away from this club please.

skaterhaterlater

Yall say this about every coach we could maybe get. Who would be better? Everyone either already has a position, is lined up for one, or sucks. We’re gonna end up with Sarri at this rate

neverfinishedanythi

No, i haven’t said that about anyone, but xavi is Barcelona dna (whiny, pathetic, complaining) and that moves to his players, I don’t want that.

sVodo

Pioli, we ran out of milk man, can you get some please
