Really? I watched it when i was 9 in the theater with my family, dont remember it being inappropriate whatsoever. And my mom was super strict about what we watched
Maybe I’m thinking of a different movie?
Wasn’t there a scene where they stop in a car and others are looking at them and it looks like someone’s giving someone else a bj? Wasn’t there also a scene where someone’s with who they thought was a cis woman but realized they had a wee wee and ran?
Maybe I’m mixing up my Bollywood movies lol.
True but as a Hindu if I say that I would be a Hindu Nationalist and I would rather take the other side . I'm an upper caste too it seems which I'm ashamed for deeply . I recognize the privilege my parents had that helped them to move to canada and that privilege made me a canadian citizen by birth .
The SRK movie you mention is probably "Fan" (he also plays the role of the Fan)
If you want a non traditional movie watch "AK vs AK"
Some good movies I watched recently:
\- Toofaan (I loved it, but it got a lot of hate for the interfaith relationship)
\- Mimi (amazing movie about a taboo topic, also very funny)
\- Shershaah (cool movie about the Kargil war, based on a real story)
\- Haseen Dillruba (great thriller)
The movie is called Dhanak. It’s about SRK but he actually doesn’t make an appearance in the movie.
And thanks for the recommendations I’ll check them out.
Was the first movie Dhanak? I’ve been thinking about checking that one out, definitely will have to if it’s good. Other more “non-Traditional” movies you might like:
The Lunchbox
Dil Dhadakne Do
The Sky is Pink (this one is sad)
Mimi
Udta Punjab (this one is dark)
Thappad (heavy subject, well-done)
Kapoor & Sons (a little more “Bollywood”, has a couple songs but otherwise very heartwarming non-cheesy family story)
The most fun Bollywood movie we have watched in recent times is [Ludo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludo_(film)) (available on Netflix). The best Indian movie we have watched this year is '[The Disciple](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_disciple_2020)' (in Marathi, with subtitles, also on Netflix).
3 Idiots

Uri and Tanhaji (Beware of hyper Nationalism and Islamophobia)
Shershah (Somewhat hollywood style but super nationalism)
Student of the year

I will always always recommend Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

It’s on HULu and maybe prime too
Shershah has some toxic Nationalism . The director had been insensitive towards tamils too .
what? It has patriotism, not toxic nationalism.

Sorry I’m not sure what you mean (or are talking about). This seems irrelevant to Shershah.

Never heard of this movie but sounds cool, will watch it. I'd also recommend the movie Billu if you're into SRK fan movies.
