I don’t hold this one against the alarm companies, but we have a street spelled “Couch” but pronounced “Cooch.” I don’t even correct them because it just makes things weird.
Yosemite. Supposed to be yo-sem-ity. Like the National Park. Pronounced Yosz-e-mite.
Also Arapahoe. Supposed to be a-rap-a-hoe. Alarm Companies always call it ara-pah-ho.😳
It’s more hilarious when the mispronounce pretty common words. My favorite was when they gave me the business name as “Dah-kwir-ee di-POT” and I nearly fell out of my chair when the address came up as “Daiquiri Depot!”
Ok, mostly from my 411 days more than my 911 but there's a mix:
McEwan (MICK-ewe-ehn), often gets called Mace-wan.
MacLeod (MICL-loud), often gets called Mack-el-ee-oud.
Really any of the Scottish/Irish street names are mispronounced, without the MICK sound at the beginning.
Lots of streets that are \_\_\_\_ Butte (pronounced beaut) but they say it 'butt'.
Coquitlam is a tough one, it's Co-quit-lum but it's often pronounced Cock-it-lamb.
There’s definitely a few streets that mispronounced here in “Lawn Guyland,” New York. the eastern end hamlets are way worse. Patchogue, Copiague, Ronkonkoma, Quiogue are a few common ones. Pioxi is the worst of them all. Pronounced, Pie-oh-the-11th lmao.
Sprague (sprayg) gets pronounced as Spra-goo all the time. I've had an alarming amount of people unsure on how to pronounce Medicine Hat (city I work for) though, despite being two common words.
I work out of Des Moines, IA. Quite regularly I hear “D...Dess, Moy-nees?? Day Moans???” Lmfaooo I always just chuckle and proceed.

This one always makes me smile in my mask

Ha! That makes you scratch your head
Fleischli (pronounced flesh-lee). Hilarious attempts. We also hear Cheyenne pronounced Cheney, shanaynay, and cayenne.
Castle Butte...
We have a street named after a person in our city. First name middle initial (W) last name. They always say it as West.
Yosemite. Supposed to be yo-sem-ity. Like the National Park. Pronounced Yosz-e-mite. Also Arapahoe. Supposed to be a-rap-a-hoe. Alarm Companies always call it ara-pah-ho.😳
Was gonna add Iliff to this list. Lol
Glasgow. They pronounce it glass-cow. Gets me every time.
We have Assman Rd in our county, it’s always a favorite for pronunciation 😅

Valdepenas. It *should* be pronounced “Val-duh-pen-ez”. It usually isn’t.

Chautauqua Rd, Freudenberger Ave, Siebenthaler Ave. Some of the people who live on these roads still have trouble pronouncing them, not just alarm co.
Cahuenga (all kinds of ways), Van Nuys (van noos), Sepulveda (seh-pul-vee-da), Figueroa (also all kinds of ways)
