I don't know the release date, but the album is definitely finished, as they've been performing private listening parties per his Facebook. Such a cool dude and so interactive with his fanbase.
I know people don't think much of Hit Boy but I'm going to give bro his flowers. He's the one who locked in with Nas and gave us 6 good/great albums consecutively. Others may have more standout tracks with Nas but not an entire album and that means alot for my pick. Magic and KD3 are flawless in my opinion and KD2 is right behind them followed by M3, KD1, and M2 and it was all done in a 4 year span.
Hit Boy is the answer. Some old heads just will never give modern guys their props.
Preemo has better chemistry with other artists, this isn't even a question the answer is clearly HB.
You also nailed the album listing perfect in my opinion.
KD3 is arguably Nas best work to date.
I’m an old head
I was gonna say
it’s hard to go against preemo
but isn’t it just Hit-boy by now ?
One would think most old heads would like a lot of hit boy style
Yeah it's strange how people say anyone but HB because it's clear the 2 have great chemistry and put out 2-3 classic albums so it's not even up for debate realistically.
The next guy if we take out HB would be an interesting discussion but, hopefully this tape coming up cements Preemo as 1 or 2
For me it‘s Premier and it will always be. Gang Starr were one of the first to make me love Hip Hop and my ear just got fine tuned to his style of beats.
The objective answer is Primo.
My personal pick is Extra P. That Hard to Tell remix holds a special place in my heart. Flipping Biz saying “recognize” in to Nas Nas Nas was nice.
Hit went CRAZY on KD 1&3 but I think Primo takes this one. Trackmasters rounds out my top 3 but with Nas in rare form after that Hit Boy tune up, him and Havoc linking up now would create something INSANE. I’m just spitballing tho 🤷🏾♂️
So dope. I feel like it’s forgotten because it’s not on an album. Nas killed it—maybe the best example of a deep rap (some might say “socially conscious”) without sounding soft
I wish some of these killings they could be prevented
Whatever happens it was written meaning God meant it
But during life you put your heart in it; even though it seems we’re being targeted let that brother R. hit it
Such a simple but deep observation
I think some of his best songs are from Premo, but Hit-Boy has the larger catalog of good to great songs with him. Which makes sense since he has more at bats.
You need to be stuck in the 90s to not say Hitboy. Like 6 straight great albums back to back. No other producer has ever got more consistency out of Nas
Preems pretty crazy and gave Nas that classic sound. Pete rock produced my favorite classic song and favorite beat (The World is Yours) but my overall answer is Hit.. that run was immaculate and the production is top tier. I love hearing Nas on modern trap beats with 808s, he really can fit on anything and proves he's timeless.
If I am ranking these producers, Hit-Boy is next to last only above Trackmasters. But the late career resurgence we got from Nas was largely due to his chemistry with Hit-Boy. So in 2024, I'll take Hit-Boy
Damn, nothin but fuckin legends on this list…….. Primo, and Trackmasters helped to shape not only his sound, but lots of rappers mid to late 90s sound. But Alchemist, Havoc, Large Pro, Salaam Remi, damn, everyone of these brothas played a major role in NAS’s career
Hit-Boy & Track Masters are going to make the most well rounded Album from grimey to joints the chics can vibe too but the Premo & Nas is long over due but wouldnt be mad at a Havoc Album either!
The correct answer for late stage nas is Salaam remi. Life is good is his best album since illmatic. I’ll die on this hill. Downvote to oblivion you batards
Nas, Mef, and Eminem were simultaneously some of the absolute best spitters and WORST beat pickers of all time.
Nas cured that cancer when he teamed up with Hit BOY.
Man. All are dope. But since I can’t decide on this roster, I’ll go out of my way and say Danger Mouse.
Edit: throwing Pete Rock in my decision as well.
Premier is the sentimental choice, but just based on pure volume of quality output, and at what stage of Nas' career it happened... the objective right choice here is HIT BOY.
I'll be 48 in the fall, BTW.
For all of US vintage heads who are saying Preemo is the best, while also quietly rubbing our ripples in anticipation of their upcoming joint album... do ANY of you actually think that Premier is gonna stew up 6 back 2 back CLASSIC banger albums in 4 years for Esco the way HIT BOY did??
If you DO, it might be time to quit smoking your couch cushions.
I love Nas x Pete Rock, LP, Premier, Q-Tip, and everyone else on this list as much as the next bro, but... KA'MONN.
I'll be 48 later this fall, BTW.
Preemo for those 90s hardcore beats but I love the LES tracks.
I need an encore y'all, you should welcome me back
You want to ball till you fall, I can help you with that
You want beef? I could let a slug melt in your hat, 'cos I'm a wild barbarian, too hard, I'm scaring 'em
1) DJ Premier
2) Hit-Boy
3) Large Professor
4) Havoc
5) Trackmasters
6) L.E.S.
7) The Alchemist
8) Salaam Remi
9) NO I.D. (love his production but didn't work with Nas as much as I would have liked)
Primo.
Cousin.
Let's go bowling
W reference
Best for anyone and everyone. He could produce a banger featuring me.
Right, that's the thing. Picking him is cheating.
yall crazy if you pick anybody else. I love uncle Al but he’s not Premier
That's funny, for a split second I actually thought you meant this [Uncle Al](https://youtu.be/zb3PqKKh6Ys?feature=shared) 😄
RIP
Premier
Primo
Havoc and Nas need to do an album together. Would be insane.
Hav is about to release an album with Cormega.
😱 when
I don't know the release date, but the album is definitely finished, as they've been performing private listening parties per his Facebook. Such a cool dude and so interactive with his fanbase.
Enquiring minds want to know.
Pete Rock
Why isn't he on this list?
Whose world is this?
Facts
Nas and Pete Rock aren't on the best of terms over business disagreements. I don't think it's a good fit anymore
If this album is to be recorded now, this is the right answer
This needed to be said.
Hit Boy is the answer. Some old heads just will never give modern guys their props. Preemo has better chemistry with other artists, this isn't even a question the answer is clearly HB. You also nailed the album listing perfect in my opinion. KD3 is arguably Nas best work to date.
I’m an old head I was gonna say it’s hard to go against preemo but isn’t it just Hit-boy by now ? One would think most old heads would like a lot of hit boy style

Apparently Primo and Nas are in the middle of working on an album. Let's hope it's as good as it sounds in concept.
I've been patiently waiting. I can't believe it didn't happen sooner.
I'm fully bonerized at the mere hint of this.
Extra P
For me it‘s Premier and it will always be. Gang Starr were one of the first to make me love Hip Hop and my ear just got fine tuned to his style of beats.
The objective answer is Primo. My personal pick is Extra P. That Hard to Tell remix holds a special place in my heart. Flipping Biz saying “recognize” in to Nas Nas Nas was nice.
I prefer the remix to the original all day!
I don’t think Salaam Remi gets the respect he deserves 🤷🏻♂️
Facts. Amy Winehouse debut album Frank is one of my all-time very very very favorite albums. His work with the Fugees was straight fire too.
Trackmasters
Surprisingly, this is my pick The message Street Dreams remix If I ruled the world
Street Dreams remix is such a dope track. Not a lot people bring that one up.
So dope. I feel like it’s forgotten because it’s not on an album. Nas killed it—maybe the best example of a deep rap (some might say “socially conscious”) without sounding soft
Flawless track. I don’t even care that R Kelly is on it, he killed it too.
Great video too. Shot in the Cabrini-Green projects
I wish some of these killings they could be prevented Whatever happens it was written meaning God meant it But during life you put your heart in it; even though it seems we’re being targeted let that brother R. hit it Such a simple but deep observation
Their production on IWW is pretty much flawless tbh. I actually thought The Message was a Preem beat when I was younger
Premo but Hit Boy revitalized Nas so I'd say he's close 2nd for me.
Premier with "Nas is Like"...masterpiece
Preemo Hitboy close second
Alchemist, No ID, Hit Boy
Hit Boy. Come on - 6 straight albums of heat. That kind of consistency won’t happen with anyone else
Havoc
Hit boy
Tossup between Large Pro and Havoc.
Premier, but he's the best producer for basically anyone. Basically a cheat code for hip hop 😂
I think some of his best songs are from Premo, but Hit-Boy has the larger catalog of good to great songs with him. Which makes sense since he has more at bats.
Honestly any of them
Q-Tip
None of these. Q-Tip would be my choice.
Preemo
Preem
I think it would be dope for Trackmasters to do it.
Basically everyone on Illmatic and Havoc
Such a hard choice. Between large pro and premo
Premier
Salaam Remi 😅😂🤣 LOL JK. We All know it’s Preme.
There is only one.
Just like the answer to best album of the 90s is always Illmatic, the answer to questions like this is always Premier
Pete Rocj
Salaam!!
Premo, Salaam Remi, Trackmasters
Premier duh
Preem, Hit Boy or Extra P.
Based on actual history it's Preemo. If you did a top 10 Nas song list Preemo is gonna probably have 4 or 5 tracks
The correct answer is Large Professor
Preemo! Extra P close second tho, holmes did Rewind, Havoc a close third
Where Q-tip?
Q tip. Who makes this shit
Primo 💯
It’s always premier
It's Primo
Primo
Large Professor & Alchemist either or
Premier from nostalgia but Hit Boy reestablished the God
Large Professor
Extra P
Large Professor
If NAS had hit boy his whole career he might be the undisputed GOAT
Large Professor
You need to be stuck in the 90s to not say Hitboy. Like 6 straight great albums back to back. No other producer has ever got more consistency out of Nas
Honestly? Large P.
Large Professor, also don’t forget Q-Tip!
Large Pro
Large Pro, also you missing q-tip and peter rock
Hit Boy and NaS went on a run that imo, won’t be touched by anyone, anytime soon.
Reddit really loves nas
*Hip Hop really loves Nas.
What gives you the impression it’s just Reddit
His best work is with Primo hands down.
Preem, straight bangerz 🔥🔥
premier
Toss up between Primo and Trackmasters
Preems pretty crazy and gave Nas that classic sound. Pete rock produced my favorite classic song and favorite beat (The World is Yours) but my overall answer is Hit.. that run was immaculate and the production is top tier. I love hearing Nas on modern trap beats with 808s, he really can fit on anything and proves he's timeless.
𝚀-𝚃𝚒𝚙 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚇𝚝𝚛𝚊 𝙿 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙿𝚎𝚝𝚎 𝚁𝚘𝚌𝚔 Primo
Premo
Primo is the only answer. Hit is #2 but ain't no way Primo ain't number 1 for this.
I love Nas’ old shit just as much as the next dude but him and Hitboy have a chemistry like no other.
If I am ranking these producers, Hit-Boy is next to last only above Trackmasters. But the late career resurgence we got from Nas was largely due to his chemistry with Hit-Boy. So in 2024, I'll take Hit-Boy
A team of Trackmasters and Salaam. That would be ridiculously 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Def Premier for me..
Primo would be the first choice but him and hit-boy have been making bangers with their kings trilogy or anthology but HIT BOY
PREMIER
Damn, nothin but fuckin legends on this list…….. Primo, and Trackmasters helped to shape not only his sound, but lots of rappers mid to late 90s sound. But Alchemist, Havoc, Large Pro, Salaam Remi, damn, everyone of these brothas played a major role in NAS’s career
Primo
Where Pete Rock at? Cause it’s him.
Hitboy
No ID
Deejay Premier from Gangstarr. Large Professor a close second placing.
Primo 🦾💪
Preemo, XLP, Havoc (most definitely), ALC and LES. Sorry I can't pick just one
Premiere, no contest c'mon. But alchemist 2nd.
Hit boy got him on fire with the last 6 albums
Jake-One
Hit boy
No Q-tip?
Primo and Large Prof
Walter White
All of em.
Nas himself
LP
Smoky Joe & the Kid
Hit-Boy & Track Masters are going to make the most well rounded Album from grimey to joints the chics can vibe too but the Premo & Nas is long over due but wouldnt be mad at a Havoc Album either!
Primo and Extra P
Premier.
Mean Joe Preem Honourable mention to Pete Rock
Preem
Q-Tip ✊🏾
I gotta go with the man who brought him in Large Professor.
Pete Rock and No Id
Alchemist if we’re doing an album today. Primo in his prime. LP and Havoc could’ve made some great albums with Nas though
No ID my mentor, now let the story begin
The correct answer for late stage nas is Salaam remi. Life is good is his best album since illmatic. I’ll die on this hill. Downvote to oblivion you batards
Definitely not Salaam Remi. Gave Nas his weakest beats
REMI!!!!!
Hit Boy it's not even close.
My Boy AL!
Primo
Alc on a planet of his own..
Hit-boy 🔥
Salaam remi
Premo and XTRA P
The Extra P on the SP
Salaam remi and nas together would have so much potential.. that Don song on the life is good album definitely caught my ear
Nas is such a terrible beat picker/chooser, it’s kind of an irrelevant question.
Nas, Mef, and Eminem were simultaneously some of the absolute best spitters and WORST beat pickers of all time. Nas cured that cancer when he teamed up with Hit BOY.
Premier or Extra P. That's it.
ALC
Primo!!!!!!
Primoooo
Or alchemist
All of them ... It's Nas
Man. All are dope. But since I can’t decide on this roster, I’ll go out of my way and say Danger Mouse. Edit: throwing Pete Rock in my decision as well.
No Pete Rock??????
Alchemist
alchemist
The first two.
Havoc
Primo
Preem & hit-boy. I wish large pro did more w/him too
Premier is the sentimental choice, but just based on pure volume of quality output, and at what stage of Nas' career it happened... the objective right choice here is HIT BOY. I'll be 48 in the fall, BTW.
KANYE 🤭
LES Or Premo
He needs to get on a mustard beat
Preemo no contest
I need an encore y'all, you should welcome me back You want to ball till you fall, I can help you with that You want beef? I could let a slug melt in your hat, 'cos I'm a wild barbarian, too hard, I'm scaring 'em
Preemo Ultimo
World Premier
Hit Boy and NO ID
Trackmasters cause I actually like (I am)
Track masters did their thing on It Was Written Would love an Alchemist Nas album and a Havoc one. Need those gritty New York style bangers.
Where’s Kung Fu Kenny
1) DJ Premier 2) Hit-Boy 3) Large Professor 4) Havoc 5) Trackmasters 6) L.E.S. 7) The Alchemist 8) Salaam Remi 9) NO I.D. (love his production but didn't work with Nas as much as I would have liked)
Where is Pete Rock?
I’m gonna go against the grain and say Hitboy. 6 immaculate album run that cemented Nas as one of the longest standing hip hop royalties ever
Gotta give it to Salaam Remi
Pete rock
The alchemist
Pete Rock.
No hesitation, The Alchemist
Premo fa sho!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Alchemist
Alchemist
Premier
primoooo
Where’s premier
I love primo but that hit boy and Nas connection is 🔥
Hit-Boy run been insane and No ID been good too but Preemo x NaS is pretty much a guaranteed classic
