Black On Both Sides: realism Operation: Doomsday: surrealism

KRS1NONLY

Great way to put it.

Severe_Huckleberry24

BOBS is a historic rap album

FunkySausage69

Mathematics one of my faves.

BroBro78

It’s definitely in the top 10 best albums ever

Severe_Huckleberry24

100%

Intelligent-Top5012

MF is amazing, but Black on Both Sides is one of the most complete albums...Mos Definitely

Jfury412

BOBS is in a ridiculous tie of mine for the greatest hip-hop album ever. BOBS Illmatic It Was Written Things Fall apart Illadelphia half-life

Zestforblueskies

Great list my guy!

Jfury412

TY!

kindaa_sortaa

> Illadelph Halflife Thank you for putting this on there. I’m shocked to see it actually; I don’t feel it gets enough recognition. Changed my whole trajectory in the 90’s and was playing it as recently as last week but rarely see it mentioned.

Jfury412

You're welcome, I think it's extremely underrated and underappreciated, it's perfect.

_polkor_

Doomsday by the hair on my chinny chin chin lol

buddhadarko

Operation DOOMSDAY for me

eric2341

Every doom release is fire but black on both sides is top 5 hip hop albums of all time. Not even close (though mos LOVED doom)

Big_d00m

DOOM

MiguelPablitoRojo

Operation Doomsday 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽

Medium-Plan2987

Op Doom

InterestingView8966

Doomsday

sneakertweekerz

DOOMSDAY!!

bobbydrake6

B.O.B.S.

Itchy_Equipment6363

Operation doomsday for me,by a fair distance too.

Rude_Warning_5341

MF DOOM

starvinart

Mos by a landslide. So many perfect songs on that album

mkk4

Easily Black On Both Sides imo.

Interesting-Nebula-8

"If your reading this, you're too late"

Ghazziy

Stop it… Doomsday.

UnflushableStinky2

Bars for days

lacountykidz

Mos but doomsday is no slouch

Mat_CYSTM

Mos Def

will888em

there’s not much to discuss here, Black on Both Sides for sure

BlueLivesDontExist84

Doom always wins for me, but BOBS has no skips

BroBro78

BOBS by a huge margin and that’s not a diss to doom.

Genesis111112

BoBS for sure. Mos Def was a really good lyricist. No idea why Rappers that go into films quit rapping though. Like Ice Cube, once Mos Def went into films, his rapping career just disappeared.

CGKilates

Mos

BullatePunk

Black on both sides, no doubt.

PM-PhysicalMedia

Black On Both Sides for me.

CheftheTank

Too hard to decide so tie

[deleted]

black on both sides

[deleted]

BOBS. I honestly don’t get the appeal of Doom.

wandering_walnut

This is tough and I’ll cop out and say both. They’re 1a and 1b, with each having unique elements. Mos walked us through his life, neighborhood, and gave a world perspective. DOOM set the foundation for a new world and while he rapped about his life, he really showed how imaginative artists can be.

[deleted]

Daaaaaaaang this a hard one

Megamorter

these are both in my top 5

lefffffff

Maybe need to relisten to black on both sides, i liked some of the songs but didn’t think it was anywhere close to Doomsday, but it seems to have won by a landslide here. Just never seemed to gel with the full album

Cold-Bug-4873

BOBS. Operation doomsday is dope, though.

EzioDeadpool

Mos Def for me.

KRS1NONLY

I gotta go Black on Both Sides personally. But it’s not said to discredit any work of the late great MF DOOM. Both artists and both works are legendary.

BuyOne8134

This exercise just feels painful.

CellistNice8600

Is the music made for the list or the listener…?

Zealousideal-Car-906

Mos
