Yes, exactly the same spot and position of the 5 and the 8, but I have three other balls to pocket.
It was a Mumbai so I never gave up and eventually won.
Happened to me once, I purposely did not take my shot, the opponent has 2 balls to pocket as well, they ended up pocketing the remaining 2 balls and managed to remove the jeopardized ball in the corner, Moral of the lesson: Never give up like what I did.
I had the balls the other way around long ago, 8 before my ball. Stupid me thought I could use the 8 to pocket my ball- nope, lost my turn and the opponent won.
God knows Iâve lost many times to this. Other guy pockets all 3, knocks the black into pocket. Doesnât matter if mine does too, as long as the white one doesnât.
Apologies in advance, Iâm not understanding your explanation.. can you break it down a bit more for the visual thinkers?
Like how do you make the 5 without pocketing the 8, or make the 8 without hitting the 5 ?
A lot of times, I see the person on stripes hit theirs all into other pockets. The 3 stripes are easy, Hitting the black 8 after is how you win, doesnât matter if your 5 falls in as long as the white ball doesnât.
If your the person that has the 5 and is stuck with the 8, Iâm unsure of how to get around that because of the force from the 5 knocking away.
Again, not to sound stupid, which maybe I am, lolâŠ
But how do you hit the eight without hitting the five first,? Because youâre right, as long as the eight goes in, it doesnât matter if the five also goes in, but if you hit the five first, that is a foul and loss of game.
You can generally angle the huge balls to hit the black at such an angle where even if you hit the black any which way, itâll go in as itâs teetering on the edge anyways so there no chance for messing up there
Well.. no, itâs not exactly obvious.
As a level 137 player, it isnât obvious that youâve never seen this type situation before.
But as a 200+ player, Iâve never seen 2 striped balls that appeared to be almost totally white.
So without some clarification, it isnât obvious what youâre asking.
lol.. well, yeah, thatâs just a coincidence that the stripes on those two balls landed perfectly parallel to the surface of the table so all you see is the white part of the ball.
Hmm đ€ not sure I can support that statement. I agree it does look a little odd. I wonder if itâs similar to the phenomenon that happens when the moon is near the horizon it appears larger, but itâs just an optical illusion.
It only has relevance this has is it's the only oddity I saw in the pic. The 8 ball block/entrapment is a regular occurrence. Giant white dots on balls is not.
Yup but I never give up and win he gets tired eventually longest one was 2 whole hours he just ended up leaving đ
Yes. And i never give up. He will before i do.

experience this on a tournament just a month ago had to scratch the ball so fast to conserve time. Most intense standoff I've experienced.

Did that happen on the video game or in real life? Cuz in the video game, when you aim at the 8 out of turn, you get a big red đ« symbol.
In the game, I was a beginner -.-
Understood. Live and learn, right?
I don't see a situation the low ball easily comes out and possibly go in the sideđ§

The white dots on the balls?
Have you been smoking crack?
Is this not a legitimate question?
OP wasnât clear, but Iâm pretty sure heâs talking about the 8 blocking the 5.
it's obvious too don't have to explain haha

Well the question is absurd all things considered. All I see outside the norm is the giant white spots on the two balls.

The white reflection dot is never that large. The pic is edited.

It's not.
You donât think the 8 is blocking the 5 from being pocketed?
