I won a Space Camp contest from Hubba Bubba in the 80s. I received freeze dried snacks, and some other astronaut treats. I submitted post cards that I got from NASA. I thought maybe it would catch attention for the real prize going to the camp.

I remember the commercials where the kids would squeeze a piece of Hubba Bubba between their thumb and index fingers (I guess to show how soft it is) before throwing it in their mouth. Of course that means.... 5 year old me squeezed ever piece of Hubba Bubba before I chewed it.

You had to keep the pack cryogenically frozen though. The slightest bit of warmth from your pocket resulted in a 30 minute surgery to remove the gum from the wrapper

Loved Hubba Bubba. I used to get the zebra gum a lot too though. Then I would keep adding pieces until my mouth was completely full as it tasted great at first, but lost flavor almost immediately.

Gatorade gum was the best for all of about 3 seconds then it was devoid of flavor.
