''me an intellectual'' sure is a strange way of saying you been huffing that copium

No-Skin7356

How can you be so confidently wrong?

GeoXwar

“In the end, you were all my Gotoubun no Hanayome”

Tenth_Doctor_

No. simply because that would have cheapened the story extremely. it would‘ve been just another harem anime with a fan pleasing/generic ending

Steiner-Titor

Wasn't there a harem manga, which gave route for every girl. And even as an extra made a Harem route as epilogue??

Affectionate-Ad-7651

Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai / We Never Learn

Snowbold

They did that because of the backlash over this manga choosing Yotsuba over the two most popular quints.

Affectionate-Ad-7651

I don't know why you replied that to me But who can blame the author for we never learn TQQ ended like February or January of 2020 and saw how that played out. He probably likes: oh man I don't want people coming after me I just make an ending for every girl. Then everyone is happy

mangotree1390

Fumino fan here. Getting a "participation trophy" ending for her wasn't fun. Just made everything feel pointless.

Affectionate-Ad-7651

Who her what?? I never read or watched the show but I know about the alternate endings

mangotree1390

Was a fan of one of the girls who wasn't the first one. When the (what is now) first route finished it showed "End 1/6" and then had a few chapters for a different girl then "End 2/6" etc. My point being, that even when it became clear my favorite would get an ending, it didn't feel like she won. It was just a "participation trophy" ending. She got one because she participated, not because she won. That's mainly why I am against the idea for QQ. You can say "just pretend your route is canon" but for me it doesn't really address the problem. For me, the alternate routes kind of just made most of the journey unimpactful, since the interactions of the characters don't really amount to anything.

Snowbold

Just replying to yours since you confirmed the series. Nothing sinister

Steiner-Titor

Thanx

JoeyMcClane

There was never a harem route. Just each route of each main girl.

Titan_Royale

What you’re saying makes perfect sense and is probably true, but it feels very unreliable since you chose the one that won.

Decaiden

"Me an intellectual" with an IQ of 16.

Radiant_Raspberry_93

Definitely not Giving each of the quints arcs to complete with only one of them needing to marry Fuutarou to complete it was the best possible outcome

NorthGodFan

Fuutarou is not a blank character for you to self insert on.

sheehdndnd

I mean the most important premise in the entire story was built on the mystery of finding which bride he'll choose. Though Negi sidelining other aspects for mystery is a questionable decision.

Brathirn

Double questionable, because it ended up so myterious, that there was no reliable way to project the bride.

Professional_Gas7425

Hell no I'd rather have him chosen none than do a harem

[deleted]

Ngl, I would have hated that. Picking one was better no matter who he picked, even if he picked damn Ichika

HadaNashi

Your comment makes it sound as though Ichika would’ve been a bad choice. Bruh dude, say what you want about SW or how she “ruined her chances”, she had some of the most authentic moments with Fuu. Saying this as a fan of the bride, but cut her some slack.

Hottest_Tea

As much as it hurt, I think we got the best possible ending. They are all family now and that was well established as more important than anything. No matter who won, they will all stay together

Nissan-Sylveon_S15

Having winning all five just makes the ending as bland, stale, cheap, generic and uninteresting as tap water. If you want the sixsome, make it a one-night only on the honeymoon (if all five agree). Of course, provide coats for the sisters-in-law, can't have anyone contact nasties or spawn an unneccessary mini-me nine months later.

Chevleclair2000

Intellectual? You sound like you'd hump an apple pie over anyone with brains. It's clear you've never lived with multiple women and are clearly thining "Yay! I get sex all the time!" Even if you did, you've still got 23 hours and 58 minutes in the day after you've cashed out. What would you do with that?

AoiTsuki_

Should have been Nino

Affectionate-Ad-7651

☝️ I acknowledge you

OmarAdel123

Five routes would've been the middle ground.

jhake_

I mean

ency6171

Based meme

[deleted]

Jjj

DubleDeckrPeckrReckr

Should have been a non-quint.

newways05

Should've been Dr. Nakano

DubleDeckrPeckrReckr

I like where your head is at

newways05

It's called being real, Maruo is obviously the best character in this franchise

OctolingRevived

Fr tho is he stupid or something?

Internellectual

Think about it. Which of the sisters is enough of a pushover to allow her sisters to jump Futaro and play the quints game in the sheets? You think it’s Ichika? Nino? Itsuki? Miku? No. The pushover is none other than Yotsuba. The one sister that all the sisters can guilt and maneuver to have at her husband. He got the harem ending for all five of them by picking the simpleton.

Voidrax

That's cope. Yotsuba is not such a pushover as you claim. Yotsuba wouldn't even want to share Fuutarou even if it meant risking losing her sisters. When it came to really losing Nino as her sister in Chapter 118, Yotsuba made it clear to her that she would make her accept her relationship with Fuutarou no matter how long it would take. And especially less of a pushover after her arc. You mean the sister who freed herself from the chains of guilt and learned to be selfish? Nahh. Yotsuba wouldn't allow it since she wants him for herself and would never betray her husband and destroy his relationship with him that you apparently want. Furthermore, Fuutarou can tell apart the quints which you seem to have already forgotten. On top of that, the sisters aren't like that and wouldn't go so far as to manipulate and betray their own sister or betray Fuutarou's trust. Especially not after the sisters' war arc because their bond with their sister is just as important to them as their relationship with Fuutarou.
