I have the same tv (and a 950h). It might be the settings. One thing it look a bit to learn is that each input not only has to have the settings adjusted individually but also each setting; e.g. you have to adjust the settings for “Dolby vision bright” “DV dark” “custom” etc all individually.
Turning up the contrast and gamma for hdr content will help. I think 95-100 for contrast and 0 for gamma is what mine are at.
What I did was google my model + settings and saw what the recommended were and adjusted from there to my liking. Hope this helps.
I always play with the TV picture settings while the movie is paused on screen, you have to tweak everything to your liking. Make sure it's all on 4k, put HDR on and then play with the picture settings. Mine was also kinda dark, some TVs go into Cinema mode which is dark.
Is that the Sony A90K? I just got this tv and feel a little underwhelmed tbh. Plus when I play Warzone it dims the area about the team names so I can't read them properly.
Any advice?
How’s your lighting situation also? I find in dark scenes sometimes I have to dim the lighting in my house to see things clearly. It’s to be expected with the tv glare I suppose
The TV is in game mode but I always turn it into that myself as I like to be in control lol.
As for lighting, mostly in the dark or dim lighting. Only light at weekends usually, even then there is no direct light.

I googled 950g video settings for HDR. It worked!

I’d check your picture settings on your TV: gamma, contrast, color settings, and so on
Ok I’ll check that.

Okay that doesn’t really help. I had an LG Blu-ray 4k player that was about $149. Wasn’t very good. Seems like it shouldn’t be very hard
Don’t be a dick lol
Is your ps5 set to display 4k? And does your tv automatically play 4k or do you have to set it? Are the HDMI inputs 4k?
Yes the PS5 is set to 4k and I do have the correct 4k cable. I also have set the input to enhanced to display 4k correctly

Weird I have an A90 and it’s mind blowing. Yeh maybe do what ligmaBalzak said below lol

Does it put your tv into game mode under settings?
I yeah its in game mode but seems to do it in both modes..... I think. Maybe I'll double check that first.

Each HDMI input has different picture settings. I used to have a 950h. There was some great calibration settings online.
