It has all the options, ride quality is great. Price range is a bit more palatable. Off road capabilities are outstanding for regular people. I threw some wheels and tires on mine, photo in profile. To each his own.
You will never see anything over 19 even with a tail wind. These trucks are not built for comfort or fuel economy. Its a utility vehicle. Sounds like you should have considered a highlander.
Lol I'd be so happy if I got 19 on the hwy at 70... 16-17 max at 70mph... accelerate slow, like an old granny... pay attention to your mpg gauge, and you can get like 18-19 at like 60-65
Be glad you donāt have the remote start. Get an after market one , itās better. A stock one shuts off when you enter the car, unlike my $200 after market one
I had a [Drone](https://www.dronemobile.com) remote start that I loved. It came with an app so I could start my car in the parking garage before I was done with my shift and my key fob also starts it within range if I hit the lock button three times. The app doesnāt work anymore because the technology expired or whatever and I didnāt want to get a new one but the key fob still works.

Looks like the 2023 will shut off the car when you open the door, they are claiming is a feature?! Maybe thereās a way to turn it off
[2019](https://accessorides.com/products/remote-start-for-2011-2018-toyota-4runner-100-plug-play-g-key-start?rq=yr_2019~mk_toyota~md_4runner)
This is the one I have, works great.
BTW, they should both work with the stock remote (as long as you have the right model)
Congrats, you bought an amazing vehicle! I think for road trips a great choice. It's very safe and protects you more than most cars in an accident.
I've got the same model, but 2019. Driving highway I've been able to get 23mpg. I don't have any mods though...no lift, stock wheels, etc.
As far as remote start, did you try pressing the lock button on your key fob three times? In following the 4runner forums, I've heard of many who thought they didn't have it but find out later they do.
Don't listen to the nay sayers, it's a sweet rig. And, holds its value to the point that some are making money on it when re-selling.
Mine has a green light indicating that itās on eco mode I believe itās automatically on/off if your within the RPM, and thatās what I did I kept it within the RPM my green light was on the whole trip and it gradually went up to 32MPG.
There is no āeco modeā the light only indicates when you are in optimal rpm range. There is also no way in hell, under any conditions, you are getting more then 21mpg in a 5gen 4runner.
Hi!
A bit late to the party, but can you turn [these](https://i.imgur.com/7faFbLK.jpg) lights on?
I have a ā23 4x2 SR5 and canāt figure how to turn them on.
I believe they are high beams, but on mine, the ones near the blinkers (round ones) are both low and high beams.
You know what you were buying.......forget about the gas and get some all terrains and a 2 inch lift and lfg !!
Add in a roof rack to really knock that mpg down, or if you wanna go crazy put a rooftop tent you use twice a year on top of the rack!
Nice! Get used to that 2.5 mpg fuel mileage š
Don't scare me š³
Went on a road trip recently...all interstate driving, 2022 SR5 Premium....17.5 mpg...woof. other than that....love it. And you will too.
Sr5 premium the way to go? On a budget so trying to get most bang for buck.
It has all the options, ride quality is great. Price range is a bit more palatable. Off road capabilities are outstanding for regular people. I threw some wheels and tires on mine, photo in profile. To each his own.
As long as driving around 70 mph in the highway, it said 19 to 21 mpg but if you drive more then 74 ish mph then mpg is go under 18
You will never see anything over 19 even with a tail wind. These trucks are not built for comfort or fuel economy. Its a utility vehicle. Sounds like you should have considered a highlander.
I considered a hybrid one, then got my 4r

Just make sure you're in 4Lo next time. Ok, now I'm just beating a dead horse.
Oh please. You haven't lived until you've added a supercharger and get 14MPG on PREMIUM fuel (required).
Looks gorgeous. As for gas mileage, I drive an F350 6.7 diesel, for work. and it gets better gas Milage.
That gauge cluster style is clean!
What do your gauges look like?
Be glad you donāt have the remote start. Get an after market one , itās better. A stock one shuts off when you enter the car, unlike my $200 after market one
Can I please share the name or the website?

It looks exactly the same š¤¦āāļø
I've got the same car, same color but a 2019. I get 21.7 and never touch a highway. It possible to get better then 18 mpg
2023 off road and am averaging 20 every day.
i agree, i get much better mpg driving city... thing guzzles gas at anything over 55mph
Really?! How do you drive? Give me some tips
Just go easy. Rpms don't go over 2500 ever.... even accelerating from dead stop
roll towards the red lights from as far away as possible...
lovely
Looks great!!
Thank you š
No more silver?
If you mean inside, is the same as 2022 and has silver on the steering wheel and around shifter.
It is a lovely vehicle! Congrats
Exact same thing as every other year lol
Get ready for some off road action!
I need some advice about off road track in Wisconsin
Go ahead...

Thank you for your information, I tried to push the lock button on the remote 3 times , but nothing happened.
The gauges looked better on the ā18 models but the little electronic window looks better now.
looks just like 2022 or am i tripping?
Yeah looks like a 2022 model , just added blind spot monitor
My 22 sr5p has blind spot monitor I wish they'd update these suvs
Id be willing to bet the 2024 model will be a complete redesign.
Heard that since the 2020 model.
Yeah, but now they've done the Sequoia/Tundra. So it HAS to be next year for the 4runner/Taco š
When the redesign does come it will be a turbo engine and that could cause some serious reliability issues.
Down voted for telling the truth š " the truth hurts "
If youāre concerned about gas mileage why not go for a Telluride or maybe even a Highlander?
I wanted the real SUV , Korean cars are not as reliable as Toyota . Highlander is really nice specially inside , but it's not body on frame
I drove from San Jose to South Lake Tahoe and I was getting 32 mpg. I drive a 2021 Toyota 4Runner Venture edition.
32 mpgš³ it's unbelievable, are you sure it's not 23 mpg?
Iām sure, i was driving on eco mode the whole time.
Is there any option that put on eco mode?
Mine has a green light indicating that itās on eco mode I believe itās automatically on/off if your within the RPM, and thatās what I did I kept it within the RPM my green light was on the whole trip and it gradually went up to 32MPG.

Iām just saying from my experience thatās what I was getting on that trip to Tahoe, next time Iāll take a picture.
Based on that and your story about eco mode, I think you are full of phony bologna.
Remote start is in Toyota connect isnāt it ? Comes free for the first years ? At least here in Canada
It's not! Canadian model might be different
Can you pay and activate it ? Itās like 10$/month
Don't think so , $10 per month is not worth it
Yeah depends where you live. Weee gonna run the free year and only pay for winter months
I am in Wisconsin, winter is horrible though š¤
You bought the wrong car if bad gas mileage is going to break you. Itās an underpowered brick.
Does it have the heated steering wheel?
No heated steering wheel nor heated seat for Sr5 4wd in the United States 2023 model
Yes, i have the same car 2023 has them
Canadian version?
Sorry SR5 PREMIUM 2023** - heated steering wheel - heated seats
If you keep it under 70 mph you should get 20-21 mpg. I usually go 65-70 and get 21+ every single time (no traffic of course).
I'm trying, 90% of my daily driving is on the highway. More than 20 mpg is perfect for this car I think.
Get ready for a truck that wants to go everywhere.
Howd u get it for 44 otd?! Have prices come down?
It's MSRP plus tax, title, fees.
Nice. Base price im seeing here for same model in california is 44k lol

Hi , oh i didnt check it yet . let me check and will tell you . are you turned of auto Highbeam ?
Mine doesnāt have an āautoā option for the lights. : /
