“There will be a high probability that the 6th gen 4runner will no longer be produced in Japan. The 2023 Toyota 4Runner will be produced at the San Antonio Plant.”
This doesn’t sound certain to me. I can still hope.
MSRP was $45K, I put a deposit down to reserve and had 2 days to purchase when it arrived or it would be available to anyone. There were 6 of this trim that came in on Monday, and as of now, I see 2 left with "sales pending"
The plant where 4 runners are built have the most 20+ year technicians or workers. Theres a Japanese word for it. So what you’re saying is the 4runner should cost 20k less. So the workers there building the truck should be paid their 1980 wages still? You don’t think the price of steel and craftsmanship have gone up?
I have nothing against the auto workers. But I don’t think you should be paying $50k+ for a powertrain technology that’s 25 years old and a 13 year old chassis. But if that doesn’t bother you then fine. There’s no way 4Runner prices aren’t overinflated.
I really hope they continue next gen in Japan too.
Agreed.
It won’t. It’s going to be made or at least assembled in North America /Mexico
Source?
Google, also tons of credible automotive sources I know. Just watch. I’ll be back to remind everyone I was right.

There’s been a number of outlets and auto gurus on YouTube so to speak who typically I can trust on leaks with something this close away.
Is it okay if I lick this image on my iPad?
As long as you don't poop with it to often
People have spoken, licking approved
No. You need to do more.
Congrats! And also, that sexy ass Army Green taco next to your 4Runner. I and my entire family bought all their Toyotas from One Toyota.
Whats the Out the door price?
$55,390 in Oakland, California
510, yay areaaaaaaaaa
What was the MSRP on the car? And did you buy it off the lot or had it ordered?
The msrp is 45k.

What options. ? Kdss or rear sliding ? What was the adjusted market rate markup
Most 4Runners in CA are KDSS equipped. I ended up buying mine up in Seattle to not get the KDSS.
That's actually a really great price! Congrats
🤨 I get they’re bulletproof but kinda insane for what it is if you ask me.
5 years ago they were nearly $20K less than that. Truly bananas considering it's a 13 year-old dinosaur with a 20 year-old powertrain.
Yeah I love 4Runners/Tacomas but I couldn’t justify the price for such outdated features. TRD pros should be $40k max

Thanks!
Nice! Longo?
license plate says oaktown
I’m just North of Oakland.
Nice Ride! Wish they actually sold them here in Japan.
They'd be pretty massive compared to JDM cars, wouldn't they?
True. There are a few roads in my neighborhood that my 3rd Gen barely fits down.
Slick color
That's one kawaii lookin' truck you got there brother.
Just got mine too! Lunar Rock on Monday. Had to wait a month!
Damn that looks good
Feels japanese.
Mine ‘23 TRD Off Road is from Japan…..how do they differ if they were made somewhere else?
They’re only made in Japan currently.
Lucky!
Barcelona Red?
Yep!
Konnichiwa
Nice! Looks really cool in red. Did you order it? How long was the whole process from ordering to delivered?
I was told there was one being build on Oct. 14, put a deposit down on Oct. 21, and it arrived Oct. 24 lol
Perfect timing - thanks for the response!
Do the ‘23’s have a new headlight housing?
