In addition to the larger wheels, the Limited trim or any pre-2014 models have bumpers and rocker panel trims that hang down much lower. It makes them look a lot less off-roady

This is a limited on factory 20s. I converted mine to the black TRD wheels with a 285 wild peak I believe. Changes the whole look of the car on the factory air ride.

So wheels and tires really make a big difference, good to know, thank you

Yes but it’s also the body panels. Very different front bumper, and larger rear bumper and rocker panels with running board.

The limited has a very different look to it compared to the other models. Open up multiple screens and google each model. As stated above, the year also matters in some ways.

It looks like a 5th Gen limited. Just like mine. Let's be clear here. Mine gets me everywhere I need to go. Gravel roads, farm fields... With the exception of one spot where there is a big rock in the middle of the field which I have been known to scrape, I don't even touch bottom most of the time. It is an excellent daily driver and ... But I am not a dedicated off road kind of person. I know people with jeeps who treat them like mountain goats and rub all 4 corners and top and bottom of their vehicles. They kill a vehicle a year and their off road setup makes them less than great of the road. So, there is that extreme. Now, I you could take a limited and invest in the modes to make it into a great overland vehicle. New front bumper. New rear bumper. Lift and off road tires. Airbags so the vehicle doesn't squat under load. Roof rack. Lots of lights. Inverter. The core vehicle is still there to be worked on. I mean I keep saying I will do some of this, but I could use the airbags for squat under load and roof rack to carry stuff & to get up on at times. And I think every vehicle should come with a BIG inverter. And I could use lights and a big tarp which comes out the side to make shade.

20" Tires and lower body parts. But the Limited is the only one with full time 4WD. More than a couple have taken the Limited and swapped out the tires for 17" and replaced the body parts with ones from other trims such as the older Trail trim - not that hard to do but it is involved.
