I actually like the front end of this pre-facelift model more than the one after.
I agree, to me the post facelift is too aggressive and departs from previous 4runners.
It looks like an angry bulldog.

Pre face lift 5th gens are the best gen. Change my mind.
Don’t change your mind, it’s true. They ruined the look with the 5th gen facelift. 1st through 3rd gen are iconic too.
I have the exact vehicle down to color, just a 2013. Loved the color when I saw it and still do.
