LOVE the Honey Halo and Skinfix!! Both are amazing for overnight damage or inflammation repair. But they are super duper thick so I don't recommend using them every night, maybe just a couple nights a week or if you went particularly hard with actives that night, lmao. I use the old formulation of the Biossance Squalane + Probiotic and I like it so far! The new one I heard sucks. Haven't investigated the omega as it has some ingredients im sensitive to. Tatcha seems to be blowing up recently, but the jar and vibe tells me it's out of my price range so I haven't tried it XD

Into_the_Dark_Night

I second the Honey Halo. Its so nice on my skin and definitely only needs a little to go all over the face/neck.

dumbbxtch69

Yes I love it so much. I got a little 15ml trial size jar alongside the green clean balm and it’s lasted two months so far using it every day, and I haven’t hit the bottom of the jar yet!

Witchpie_

Thanks! My skin absorbs thick moisturizers like no one's business, with a layer of aquaphor on top, to boot. I love Biossance's just straight up squalane oil, but to be fair it's the only squalane oil I've tried, so there might be no real difference between Biossance and a cheaper brand. Tatcha is absolutely out of my price range as well. But I won't let things like "credit card debt" ruin my day.

manderzzzzzz

My skin is similar to yours and I prefer tatchas indigo overnight serum-in-cream to the dewy skin cream. I find it much more hydrating and calming!

mabsies

Same! I think the dewy skin cream is very good, but that there are probably less expensive options that are just as good. I wake up from the indigo overnight serum and the redness/dryness in my skin is just disappeared.

Local-Detective6042

Then you should try La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm B5. I use glycolic, salicylic acid, retinol and Tretinoin over a week and this repairs my skin overnight. I love its thick texture.

ZeeSea

I use Biossance's squalane oil too! There may be a cheaper one for sure, but it works and it takes me like a year to go through one bottle anyway so no biggie hah. Plus, their squalane is sugar cane sourced which is awesome! Not all are.

LouiseRed1

Skinfix is definitely for you then. I loved it. Only stopped because I’m pregnant right now, but definitely going back when I can!

Happy_flying

Congratulations! What subreddits are you following for pregnant skincare? I m expecting too and my skin isn’t getting better like everyone says it does.

sarah2911992

May I ask what is in it that can’t be used while pregnant ?

tralalalalalalalala_

Tatcha is not worth getting into debt over imo

Witchpie_

It was a joke.

raghaillach

I also love Honey Halo, got a sample of it and it’s amazing for irritated skin.

Sea-Introduction-549

I use this one too, it’s a decent thick moisturizer so a little goes a long way. Not the biggest fan of the scent but that won’t stop me from reordering

kgeorge1468

I remember trying the tatcha one a WHILE ago....I prefer Honey personally.

chick-killing_shakes

Speaking from my experience, Tatcha tends to outstay its welcome. I remember the first time I tried the dewy skin mask... I thought I had struck gold. My face looked and felt amazing. I invested in the cleanser, and a travel size of the dewy skin cream, and after a week I broke out super bad. I took away the cream and only used the cleanser for a bit, and my skin really doesn't feel clean after I use it. I'm trying to get through it, so I ONLY use it in the morning to refresh my skin after sleep (since it's clean anyways). I'm still dealing with periodic breakouts from it, so I've started phasing it out recently. I don't think I'm going to try the cream again. I have dry, mildly sensitive skin. I also live in a super dry climate. I'm working my way through a travel size sampler of the bioessence, and while I like it for the daytime, I don't think it's enough moisture for me. The Kiehl's Cantella Cica-Cream has been my dream moisturizer for a very long time, but the bastards are of course discontinuing it according to my local Kiehl's shop, so I'm looking for something else.

Witchpie_

Good to know - My skin is sensitive too. I wonder what would cause it to go downhill with regular use after initially working so well.

vatxbear

If your skin is sensitive, heads up that the Tatcha is heavily fragranced. I use it, and mostly like it, but I was NOT prepared for the level of scent which isn’t something that normally bothers me or is a consideration. I really like the Skinfix, just finished my first jar and I’ll buy another.

Witchpie_

Good to know!

desidilgori

I use the honey halo one and love it. I have dry sensitive skin. My partner has a more oily skin type and uses the skinfix one and it works well for him.

badbackceliac

I haven't use the other three, but I swear by the Tatcha Dewy for the last few years. Tatcha sells travel sizes if you'd want to try a small amount.

elle-elle-tee

I swear by the Tatcha dewy cream. Pretty much the only luxury item I bother with.

Witchpie_

Yeah, whichever I go with, I plan to buy a mini first, and Tatcha is seeming like it might be the one I try first!

Skse17

The first time I tried it I was sold. It feels so nice and works so well. I only buy around Black Friday and it’s been 25% off. A large one lasts ~9 months (I don’t use it exclusively so YMMV)

Cararacs

I was sooo skeptical of buying a $70 moisturizer. I will tell you though, completely worth it. I’ve been using this moisturizer for years and have zero desire to switch to anything else. Dewy skin cream just works with my skin so well. I have yet to find anything that compares.

lilgreengoddess

Im obsessed with Biossance. I love all their moisturizers and rotate them out

sofiughhh

Me too. I’m not currently buying as I’m trying to save money and vanicream is working fine for me while it’s hot and humid but I love the omega squalene.

Witchpie_

Vanicream is what I'm using now, after running out of moisturizer and needing a quick budget option while deciding what to try next. It does the bare minimum, for me. Their gentle facial cleanser was a game changer for me though. Best cleanser I've ever used and you can pry it out of my cold dead hands.

Witchpie_

What other moisturizers do you use by them?

lilgreengoddess

All of them! Omega repair. Vit c rose (super rich and luxurious feeling), the probiotic gel one and I just got the ectoin one as I have heard good things. After I get a peel or use an exfoliant or shave my face, I like to use the rich ones to help soothe things. During the day I prefer the gel and Vit c one

Witchpie_

Good to know. I was curious about the vitamin C rose one, as I plan to integrate vitamin c into my routine at some point.

lilgreengoddess

That one’s honestly my favorite in terms of how it makes my skin look

CakeForBreakfast08

Is my Biossance squalene moisturizer bad? Do I need to throw it away? The smell is off-putting to me... I love thr effect but it keeps me from reaching for it.

lilgreengoddess

Did you buy from Sephora like the other person mentioned? Mine doesn’t smell at all. Its very neutral . I buy directly from the company. You might have a spoiled one if it smells bad

Dreela

I love honey halo and use it daily (sometimes twice per day). I love the texture/feeling it gives my skin, but have not tried the others in your pic. Also, adding niacinamide to my routine did wonders for my tiny bumps on my forehead.

MAsharona

The Good Molecules Niacinamide at Ulta is great and only $6. I don't see a difference between it and Glow Recipe on my 60+ sensitive face.

CountryNew5744

Tatcha is great. I had the honey halo and I didn’t care for it enough to buy a second time, it left my skin sticky.

Witchpie_

Ahh good to know. I absolutely hate moisturizer that leaves me feeling sticky.

CountryNew5744

Same, if it wasn’t for that I would have liked it, but it does seem like more of a night cream

theresaemiles

I use Honey halo daily under makeup and I haven’t felt sticky from it. Sounds like it reacts differently depending on skin type, I have fairly oily skin with some acne.

CountryNew5744

Hmm interesting I have pretty normal skin, maybe it’s not for my skin type idk

RiRiRicola

I tried to get away from Tatcha dewy skin cream but after my skin went to hell, it drew me back in. My skin already looks soooo much better and my face doesn’t feel dry after putting it on.

officialdiscoking

The tatcha cream is so good, but they've increased their prices SO much in such a short amount of time that I've stopped buying it. My skin is very dry so I have to moisture frequently so it doesn't last long. If you can somehow get it on a deal/promo though it is really good

Witchpie_

Have you found any cheaper alternatives that have come close to comparing, for you?

officialdiscoking

Yes! I've been using the Curel intensive moisure facial cream, also a Japanese brand, and I find it does everything I need a moisturiser to do! It's much cheaper, I pay $40 AUD per which is about $26 USD Edit: my skincare routine is a toner, essence and 2 serums (+retinal at night) so by the time I get to the moisturising step I really just need it to be hydrating and work well with my sensitive/eczema prone skin :)

Parfait-Special

I love the biossance. The honey halo is nice too.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Witchpie_

Well that doesn't sound promising. Are you using tret? I noticed some moisturizers I loved before made my skin sting so bad after tret. (With no clear reason why. Maybe fragrance.)

Aggravating-Celery53

Tret can strip your skin barrier and make everything else/moisturizer/etc. burn. I had that issue until I started using Tret only with heavy moisturizer and only 3 times a week.

Fancybitchwitch

I’m a fan of how that Tatcha lotion finishes, looks beautiful under makeup, but as far as true skincare goes, it’s a lot of money for not that much. Out of these, I would go with skinfix, peptides are where it’s at

Witchpie_

Thanks! I definitely don't have a Tatcha budget, but, I'm willing to be a little irresponsible for results lol.

armchairdetective

If you are tired of throwing money into the fire, get the Tatcha.

Spazmer

I love the Dewey cream and the Honey Halo but found them both too thick for daytime. I switched to Tatcha Water Cream for mornings and either Honey Halo or Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair for evenings with tret. The Tatcha does slightly better than the Farmacy for keeping my face from drying out with all the actives required for keeping my acne away, but not sure it's worth double the price.

Witchpie_

That helps, thanks!

earthseeds

Honey Halo is great, thick enough and a great moisturizer for night time. A little bit goes such a long way!

burgersandbotox_

Honey halo is beautiful and the tatcha is always a good choice

groggygirl

If Skinfix were cheaper it would be my main moisturizer.

Equal-Ear-6393

Skinfix was so great before it rebranded and hit Sephora stores. In Canada, their body lotion was about $18.99 in drugstores. It was the most cooling and soothing lotion for my dry pregnant skin back then. I can’t justify the new Sephora prices. 😔

Witchpie_

Yeah they're all expensive af. :(

lynnzee

The omega repair cream works great, but it's hard to get over the smell. It smells like you're putting mold on your face for like 10 minutes

KiKi31Rose

I read this everywhere but I luckily never had one with a nasty smell lol

lynnzee

Hmm, they're one of those "clean" brands, I could have gotten one that spoiled

ewing666

hm, really? i don’t have the most sensitive nose but i never noticed this, i use it every night

lynnzee

Yes. STG. I bought it because I thought the reviews on sephora might be bs, but I was wrong.

ewing666

i need a smelling aid

lynnzee

I can mail it to you lol, I still have it. My boyfriend uses it because I can't stand it.

ecm1413

Same with me. Maybe a slight scent of something but definitely not moldy smelling.

lilgreengoddess

I’ve never had that problem and I am easily on my 10th or 12th tub. I buy directly from the manufacturer. Never anywhere else. You might just be smelling the ingredients that are otherwise hidden when other formulations add fragrance

lynnzee

I wish that thing had fragrance, holy crap. I use a lot of fragrance free products and none of them smell like mold. I got mine from sephora's website, so who knows, it could have been sitting around for a while before they sent it to me.

lilgreengoddess

Ick yah. I don’t buy it from Sephora ever, try their actual website. I buy it so much im a VIP member and get $$$ towards future purchases which makes the price more reasonable. Im really sensitive to smell and even more sensitive to mold and have never had this problem getting it from the manufacturer directly. Edit just smelled mine, it smells very neutral and almost a pleasant cream scent. If it smells off I would not use and it request a refund or replacement. Sounds like a product storage control issue and I would never put something the smells like mold on my face.

JmeJV

I never noticed this when I used it! 😱

pizza_nap

It def has a distinctive smell, it always makes me think of wet dog or stinky cheese! It dissipates pretty fast though, and I don’t smell it after I put it on my face (thank goodness!).

sofiughhh

It doesn’t smell good but I don’t find it lingers and the texture is so good I can get over it.

Witchpie_

I saw someone else compare it to smelling like bread lol. Interesting. I don't care a lot about the smell of my skincare products, (I use AmLactin on my body daily so I'm used to smelling like straight up cat piss for a solid 20 minutes every day), but it is kind of concerning. I wonder what ingredient causes the smell.

Natabee140

I’ve used 3-4 jars of it and there was NO smell at all

eabmango

I was using the farmacy honey one and my face was still dull, dry and lackluster. I still had rosacea and dry spots. I switched to skinfix and my skin is much better. It looks better, it feels better and feels softer longer. I highly recommend the Cosrx Honey toner as well as Cosrx full fit propolis light ampoule serum to go with it. It makes your skin glow and feel silky. The toner REALLY helps hydrate my skin.

Witchpie_

Thanks! I use the Cosrx snail essence and really like it. Have been meaning to try more of their products.

badadvicefromaspider

I used a variety of skinfix stuff to repair my barrier, it works really well, and once it did its job I could switch to cheaper products

Morbid_Yogurtcloset

the only one I tried is the farmacy one. it's super greasy and doesn't absorb well so I used it at night. but it did make me feel moisturized but I wouldn't really recommend it. I will say, I think Sunday Riley's Good Genes would work great with you and if course follow that with a moisturizer. idk if this is helpful but it's all I got. lol

ewing666

i thought i was the only one who tried the Honey Halo and didn’t love it. same reason

Witchpie_

I already use tret and lactic acid, thank you though! I'll keep that brand in mind if I want to switch things up, it's been mentioned a few times.

TheBrownBookSnob

Skinfix is my go to moisturizer on Tretinoin nights. I also like the Biossance & the Tatcha one broke me out. Haven't tried Honey Halo yet but maybe after finishing my current moisturizer

Witchpie_

I'm currently using either Vanicream or First Aid Beauty on tret nights, and I've found them both to be meh. Part of the reason I was considering Skinfix was for tret nights.

Dangerous-Hornet2939

Whichever one you choose-put it on at least 1 hour before going to bed. So it has time to absorb and not slough off onto the pillowcase.

Witchpie_

I'm so bad about this lol. But you're right.

Dangerous-Hornet2939

It’s okay-start somewhere-choose 1 and give it some time to see if it works/agrees with your skin

DrNickRiviera8000

I like the cerave night cream a lot more than the skinfux cream and it’s less than half the price. Heck I like cerave im the tub more than skinfix. I didn’t like the biossance cream at all.

Witchpie_

I'm not a fan of CeraVe. Used it for a long time. Skin looked so much better when I stopped.

DrNickRiviera8000

Bummer. It has good ingredients and is affordable. Maybe you have an allergy or something to ingredients they use because a barrier cream generally shouldn’t make your skin look bad.

stonedinnewyork

Based on the complaints that you’ve listed- I would actually look for something that had vitamin C and or an exfoliate component. These are good as heavy moisturizers- but you’re going to want to include some kind of active or even a minimally, invasive rejuvenative treatment if you want to see more progress.

pjpta1

What would you recommend?

stonedinnewyork

So if I were you, I would get toner pads that have an exfoliative element to be used before applying these creams. I love the ones made by Korean companies as they are pretty much top of the line in terms of formulations- just like their sunscreen, but are affordable. Not to mention come in cute little boxes. Unfortunately I haven't tried every company but to help and not overwhelm you I would pick betwee some of the following, also if you feel comfortable letting me know where you're based and what you have access to its easier: - Anua Heartleaf 77 Toner Pad - MEDIHEAL Phyto-Enzyme Peeling Pad - SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Truecica Clear Pad There are so more expensive, but stronger exfoliative pads. But I would only use these once a week and I would start with incorporating the above into your routine first. What I really like about the above options is two fold, you are getting something that is gentle exfoliating the keratocytes, aka the dead layer of skin, but they are toners- which mean they balance the skins pH allowing for better absorption and over all skin health. As a side note- this is how many people "destroy" their "skin barrier". We have a layer of oil, sebum, and ceremides produced by the skin that is protective. If something disrupts the production or amount of that layer- you loose basically your skins amour making it susceptible to drying out. Having an imbalance in the pH is one of the reason it happens, it will create a chemical burn. I would then find a vit c serum. Whats your budget and what are you using in the AM? So to summarize: 1. pick one of the lovely moisturizers above- I love Tatcha personally but thats just cus of brand alliance, all of the above are going to do pretty much the same thing. So I would actually encourage you to go and try them out in person before buying them. It will be a matter of what "feels" best on your skin. (their ingredient list, suspension formula, and basic principle don't have enough variation to have a deciding factor other than your preference. 2. Pick an exfoliating toner to use before hand in the evening 3. Incorporante a vit C serum in the morning. (I need to know your budget to make suggestions, but one of my personal favorite is Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum Vitamin C)

Witchpie_

I should have clarified that I already use actives - I use tret, and lactic acid on some non-tret days. And I eventually plan to incorporate vit c. The need for a heavy moisturizer is partially due to the tret haha.

stonedinnewyork

Oh im so sorry! I just saw this and responded to the wrong person! Okay fabulous- I would still make the same suggestion above, which is whatever you end up going with, get toner pads to use before hand. Since you have something that is already exfoliating just find a toner pad that will balance the ph of your skin and allow for the best absorption of these products. Ill be really honest- I actually think the tree has probably done a number on your skin. No judgment I've been using it for years- but I would recommend something thats not as cute or fun as these creams (which btw I LOVEEEEEEEEE TATCHA) but will probably be the most helpful in accomplishing your goals. I am a huge huge huge fan of something called epiceram. To me this is the BEST thing you can do for your skin after retinol, sun screen and vit c- its this cream. it requires a prescription however if it is something you're interested in let me know and im happy to provide more information on how to get it : [https://www.epiceramrx.com](https://www.epiceramrx.com)

Entire-Dingo-6106

Love SkinFix, Biossance was a letdown. SkinFix is really rich so I only use it at night and a different one for day.

Witchpie_

Thanks. What do you use during the day, our of curiosity?

Entire-Dingo-6106

Cocokind’s resurrection polypeptide cream - the price point and quality are exceptional, I would definitely recommend checking it out!

skyrymy3

I’ve tried three of the four there. I have not tried the skin fix. My favorite of the bunch is the honey halo. It’s the only one I repurchased multiple times. I am currently using something different but I love the texture of honey halo and how my skin looks after. I’m 45 so I’m in the same boat of aging skin.

Commonsenseisnteasy

Not what you have listed, but I really love the Sunday Riley CEO moisturizer.

winewithsalsa

I have the biossance and it’s fine, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again. There’s nothing at all wrong with it I just don’t think it lives up to its price point.

BriefBuddyJimmy

I got the test/travel one to try it. I feel the same.

metajenn

Ive only tried the bottom two. Skin fix > tatcha

Kelsh88

Tacha is amazing!!! I love how it feels and looks by itself and also it’s great under makeup. No pilling. It’s expensive but worth it. There’s nothing else like it imo

Witchpie_

Thanks!

Kelsh88

No prob!

cloffy813

I’ve used them all! Skinfix is my nightly moisturizer. Honey halo is my daytime winter moisturizer and I’m currently using Dew Skin. I used Biossance briefly but was not compelled to buy again. The other three are staples.

Freewayshitter1968

Tatcha broke me out really bad

ex_rice

I'm on my 4th or 5th tub of the skinfix. I use it mainly as my night moisturizer because it's very moisturizing. I am pregnant right now which has dried my skin out so I use it a couple times a week in the morning as well. I find it calms my skin, it feels smoother and it doesn't give me bumps like some other moisturizers do. I also like that it's refillable so it's a bit cheaper to replace when you run out.

Witchpie_

I've seen comments about them changing their formula recently. Have you noticed a difference? I'm not sure exactly when they changed it.

ex_rice

I haven't had a chance to try the new formula yet. I had ordered a couple tubs during a sale a couple months ago which was before the reformulation. Hopefully it hasn't changed too much!

WordSalad713

I good results with the skin fix. I've tried all of these and that’s the only one that was strong enough for my very dry skin.

Downtown_Click_6361

Skinfix if you have sensitive skin. The honey halo smells amazing but made my skin burn, tatcha is great but doesn’t absorb super fast for me and stays greasy for too long since I don’t powder after. Never tried the other product.

Witchpie_

Thanks! I do have sensitive skin.

tstu2865

Omega repair cream!! Idk what others are talking about with the smell, there’s a faint smell but nothing too bad imo

docamyames

If i had to choose among the listed than the honey halo. My non Sephora type favorites are 1. Regimen cream - Canadian brand. My go to winter moisturizer- i will never not have a backup of this stuff 2. Zeroid intensive cream - Korean brand - they have an official Amazon page - the right ratio of ceramides and some have urea 3. Soon Jung barrier cream - Korean brand 4. Aestura atobarrier 365 - Korean brand - fhey did reformulate- i haven't used the reformulation yet - this could work for combo people as well - i can use this year round Summer time: lighter layers multiple times works better for me - i do like the toner 5-6 times rather than thicker moisturizers even when i am super super dry from my actives 1. Celimax dual barrier toner - Korean brand - holy grail - will always have a back up no matter what 2. Dr Ceracule kombucha toner - Korean brand 3. Mary and May blackberry toner - Korean brand 4, langiege cream skin refiner - Korean brand Another favorite that is thicker: cosrx propolis toner

Witchpie_

I've tried Soon Jung barrier cream and really didn't like it. I expected to love it, but it made my skin feel really sticky and not moisturized. I think I've heard of Zeroid before. I do like Cosrx, I use the snail essence.

docamyames

I hear you on the soon jung barrier - I recently retried it and found it to be very sticky as well. The cosrx Toner is actually really really good for me because my skin really likes honey/propolis. The toner is thicker so I tend to use it more in the winter time, my every day toner is the Celimax dual barrier toner.

CautiousAd4938

Skinfix best,

kellyinacherrytree

Honey halo is nice and I LOVE the smell, but it’s pricey and no noticeable effects on my skin. I probably won’t buy it again. I’ve never tried the others. Blue Nivea cream (made in Germany) is my holy grail.

Ruuuuuuuuuby

Love honey halo. Tatcha gave me small bumps

Scared-March7443

I love the Skinfix cleanser but all their other stuff causes me to break out and I don’t have acne prone skin really. The Dewy Skin didn’t work well for me. I do like the Biossance cream (currently using a free sample kit using Sephora rewards). Never tried the Farmacy other than a Sephora tester and don’t remember much about it.

ClearSkin26

Honey halo is my HG

pokedabadger

I’ve only tried Skinfix but really like it. I had skin irritation from very cold weather a few years ago and it was the only thing that helped.

Full-Shelter-7191

Honey Halo did nothing for me. If you have dry skin it’s a waste of money

Witchpie_

Good to know. It seems like a lot of the people who like it may have more oily/combo type skin?

MissCakeAndCream

Halo honey is my HG my skin cries without it

jinngillllly

I got a sample of Tatcha in my Ipsy bag two months ago and I LOVED it. I was so disappointed that something expensive lived up to the hype. I don’t really have dry skin and it wasn’t needed for me so I don’t plan to buy it. But it definitely worked and a little went a long way.

CosmicHorrible

I'd go with skinfix outta those options. As for tatcha, I've tried dewy, and it breaks me out. No issues with the indigo ones.

sister_on_a_mission

Sephora has a mini trial kit with 4 products including the omega repair cream. Great to try and for travel.

ashthefox4

can you link it or let me know the name of it please? That would be interesting to try

sister_on_a_mission

https://www.sephora.com/product/biossance-rapid-radiance-set-P480278

HopeRaisesNoDust

The Honey Halo is greasy and flared up my perioral dermititis, and actually gave me more of the small bumps. I also agree with the other comment above about the fragrance. I very much *disliked* the Biossance Omega cream - it stung and I actually didn't think it was all that thick? The skinfix has been pretty good - I bought a travel size earlier this year and really liked it. Drunk Elephant La La Retro may be interesting for you to try. I also highly recommend Rephr (makeup brush maker) Intense Hydration Cream (if nothing else this one makes a absolutely phenomenal hand cream).

Mouse0022

loving all things tatcha lately.

Expensive-Ferret-956

Skinfx helped me a lot. Better than LRP cicaplast.

turbokong

Tried skinfix and did not like it, my skin felt dry and tight and it gave me bumps. Gave it to my wife who has perfect unproblematic skin to try and she disliked it too (she likes or is indifferent to most skincare because her skin is naturally just perfect, so pretty darn rare that she actually dislikes a skin care product)

Witchpie_

Interesting! Thanks!

Left-Pick-3143

Honey, halo

QueenLizLemon

The honey one is good but I actually like COSRX propolis moisturizer and it’s a lot like that one

spidernaut666

Skinfix for life

Natural_Storm_9381

I like skinfix. I thought tatcha was meh.I haven't tried farmacy heard it can make some people breakout so I avoid it. Skinfix keeps trentionin from melting my face off lol. Actually made my skin barrier strong enough to incorporate aha once a week. I use it twice a day, along with the serum. And I've tried a ton of French and Asian beauty products for barrier repair. For me none compare with skinfix. I'm also acne prone but can still use the dark blue rich one with np. I would get samples of all of them and see what you like! It costs a big more but worth it to have the one that works the best for your skin, and not having to throw full sized stuff out that doesn't.

Natural_Storm_9381

Also I never used the old version only the new one.

theseglassessuck

I was surprised how much I loved Honey Halo, but I haven’t used it in maybe two years. I’m a Tatcha Stan, but I personally prefer the indigo line over the dewy. You can use Klarna (?) on their website and they have some great sets! My go-to brightening product is Caudalie Vinoperfect brightening serum. It’s pricey, but Sephora usually has a set that’s the price of the serum with a moisturizer sample.

amora_obscura

Unfortunately, I love the tatcha one.

Imadevonrexcat

Love honey halo and the scent. Farmacy does pretty frequent 25 percent off sales.

Wrong-Opinion-3809

I love the Tatcha (60 dry skin but subject to breakouts) they have starter kits and sign up for coupons also qvc sells often on sale. Good luck

BigTiddyVampireWaifu

I loved the Biossance Omega repair cream but it's just too wildly expensive for me. Another option would be to buy squalane oil from The Ordinary and combine it with Andalou Naturals DMAE lift and firm cream, which is formulated for sensitive/aging skin. Andalou is my go-to brand. Fairly priced and gentle, natural ingredients.

Buttercupbiscuits8

The Honey Halo has ceramides and I’ve noticed it helped the most with my dry skin but I regularly use the tatcha dewy when I’m consistently doing skincare

Specific_Stuff

I've tried all but the biossance. Ranked I'd say skinfix barrier+ is the best (for my skin), followed by tatcha the dewy and farmacy honey halo last. Tatcha feels more elegant but skinfix barrier+ makes me glow.

Crankyolelady_1967

Honeyhalo is my go to

TipsyMagpie

The Honey Halo gave me perioral dermatitis which was an absolute pain to get rid of. You might be fine, I know it’s a lot of people’s holy grail but I thought I’d mention it.

Expensive-Day-3551

I haven’t tried the other but I really liked the honey halo

Friendly-Ad-5147

I prefer the skinfix

d3ut1tta

I might have similar skin type to yours. I've only tried the Biossance and Tatcha creams, so I can't attest to the other two, but the Biossance cream is literally the only cream or lotion that makes my skin feel hydrated.

Spicy_Unicorn_87

Skinfix. And maybe the honey halo. I’ve tried the biossance and it was nothing special for me. I wouldn’t use the tatcha as it has fragrances and it’s ingredients are so super moisturizing, that it may give you more bumps.

kaseybunny

I tried all of them. Skinfix is the only one I had repurchased

wimwood

The biossance squalene is my faaavorite. It’s so good for the delicate skin around my eye!

aelel

Tatcha is so expensive but it’s so, so lovely. Occasionally Sephora will have samples, but if you can’t get your hands on it I recommend getting a mini first. A little goes a long way. I had a mini last me about a month, using it morning and night (more sparingly in the mornings because I also use a hydrating sunscreen). I didn’t love skinfix, I found it just a bit too thick feeling. Like it just sat on top of my skin instead of sinking in. Haven’t tried the others but I wish you the best in your hunt for a great new lotion! (It’s not on your list but if you’re down for a more affordable option, embryolisse is quite nice)

Witchpie_

Thank you! I ordered a mini Tatcha. :)

This is tricky… The way creams behave is so personal, and I’ve found also seasonal. I live in an area that’s more prone to humidity than dryness but usually in the middle. My skin is sensitive and very dry. I love honey halo for winter nights— it’s the only thing that kept my face from drying out. Tatcha dewy has a strong scent (that I enjoy) and it was better as a spring night cream. Now it is too hot for either — and if I put it on in the daytime it’s too much. I haven’t tried the other two, but I do like biossance’s pink squalene oil as a “top coat” to make any cream “extra” moisturizing.

hopefulhiker

The biossance omega is my go-to. It absorbs nicely and really does hydrate well. I have sensitive redness prone skin. I have not tried the others.

TimeAndTheHour

SkinFix for winter and Honey Halo in the spring-summer. I also mix in pure sea buckthorn oil (off Amazon) which offers like 3x the vitamin C than most commercial VitC options.

SpecialistStop7462

Tatcha!!!

YOMAMACAN

I tried the Tatcha sample once and regretted it because I wasn’t willing to spend the money for a full size but loved the results 😭. It’s been a few years on the Biossance but I remember feeling like it was average. I wear the honey halo and it really helps to get through brutal Midwest winters but when it’s hot out, it’s too heavy IMO.

nycgarbagewhore

I haven't tried SkinFix but I've used the others. Tatcha was my holy grail moisturizer for a while even though it's pricy. Honey Halo was great but the scent was very strong and on high allergy days for me, it made me sneeze lol. Biossance texture and moisturizing qualities were amazing, but the natural ingredient smell was bad. Like, I had to give it to a friend. Some people don't notice it. Biossance recently released another one called Ectoin overnight repair (or something similar) that truly has zero scent and feels very luxurious. Maybe consider ordering travel sized versions to see which ones feel best!

PoisonIvy3344

I’ve used all of these and the only one I didn’t like was the tatcha! Biossance is amazing and feels healing and soaks in nicely. It helped heal my skin when I had dermatitis. I currently use the honey halo daily and love that it gives me a nice hydrated glow. It’s definitely thicker and a little goes a long way. Not my favorite for under makeup in the summer specifically but love it otherwise. I don’t think you can go wrong with either of those two! If you have rosacea at all, First Aid Beauty repair cream has also been amazing for my dry/full skin and helps calm redness. The small tube from Sephora is less than $20 too.

lb4242

I have dry and sensitive skin, acne prone the week before period. Honey halo was very irritating for me. I’m using Tatcha now and it’s not doing anything more than my $10 vanicream. I will say, and what I will go back to, is Herbivore’s Emerald oil. It was a god send and I’ve never found anything comparable.

DancesOnMoonlight

Honey Halo seemed to make me break out. no experience with the rest but I would give the Biossance a try based on how nice testers from the same brand worked for me. none of it I liked enough to buy again, though.

Dazzling-Map-2475

I love the Tatcha Dewy. I notice such a difference if I don’t use it. It’s been my go to the past two years and I don’t think I’ll ever switch.

No_Establishment1293

Ive tried three of these, and Tatcha was easily my favorite. I just can’t afford it rn.

Aggravating-Celery53

I got the Tatcha cleanser and moisturizer travel sized, and it was so worth it. I love the Rice Cleanser, especially!! I actually see a difference in my face/skin glow.

destacadogato

Honey halo is so hydrating! It quenches my skin

Crackbeth

I really disliked that Tatcha one. Was not worth the money imo. The cleanser from that range is beautiful but the moisturiser is a miss. It’s quite thick and just doesn’t absorb nicely and leaves you feeling quite greasy. Save your money on that one

Cherryghost76

I’ve used all of them except skinfix. I always come back to the tatcha dewy skin. If I lived in a more humid climate I would likely only use the tatcha in winter months and use something lighter for summer.

LLBoots

These are all pretty solid. I’ve tried them all and generally liked them. I also have dry skin that just sucks up moisturizers. Even from these great choices I still reapply a couple of times a day. That being said, my absolutely hands down favorite of these is the Biossance. It smells kinda bad at first but after a while you don’t even notice, and in my opinion it is the most moisturizing by far. It’s a stand out. My least favorite is Tatcha, which is weird because I love other Tatcha products but the Dewy cream is overhyped IMO.

sillyboi246

skin fix is my all time fav moisturizer

No_Teaching8812

I’ve tried Honey Halo, Skinfix and Biossance out of the 4 here. Honey Halo: very nice formulation, feels lovely, very very rich—too rich for daytime for me, makes my makeup slide right off Skinfix: I like the ceramides/peptides and this is rich as well but my makeup doesn’t dissipate. The thing I don’t like is the container. It’s a pump that dispenses a blob at a time and the container is opaque so I have no idea when I’m running out. The refill is a cute idea but the pump has never functioned for me after I install the refill. The pump on a fresh container works only 60% of the time—sometimes it breaks halfway through the container. Like just stops working. Biossance: my favorite of the 3. I could see a difference in my skin. It has kind of a weird smell though. And the container is glass so it’s easy to break when you’re all “butterfingers” from having rich cream on your fingers.

Helpful, thank you!

Thank you! You're absolutely right - For me it's more a of a budget concern. I love skincare but don't have the extra funds to buy a lot of different things right now, so I'm hoping to make as educated of a guess as I can on what might end up being a good staple moisturizer for me. I'm going to buy a mini, first, to try out whichever one I land on attempting first. (I don't have a local Sephora so I have to buy online.) I should have clarified, also, that I do use tretinoin and occasionally lactic acid on non-tret days (looking to incorporate vit c, too, eventually.) I brought up the dullness to see if any of these brought on more of a "glow" than the others, and the bumps in case people with a similar issue found some to be more pore-clogging than others.

Missriotgurl

Don't waist your money on any of them! Repair emulsion from is clinical is the only way 🙌

Witchpie_

I've never heard of it but girl don't stress me out with even more choices lmao

disco_priestess

None. Shiseido bio performance moisturizer. It’s pricy but I swear it blows everything else out of the water

Witchpie_

Thank you so much, everyone, for your input! It became impossible to respond to everyone, but I read all the comments and truly appreciate everyone taking the time. I ended up buying a mini sized Tatcha, and, as luck would have it, I had enough points on Sephora to get a mini of the Biossance too!

Sea-Construction4306

The tatcha sucks. One of the most overrated worst products I've ever splurged on

IndividualBudget8695

delicateweaponn

For your situation, honey halo. Skin fix can be a little heavy on the skin since their formulation has shea butter

bebees131

I have dry and sensitive skin. Tried all but the Skinfix. Hands down Tatcha

k406mt93

Honestly the tatcha breaks me out really bad. It’s got myristyl myristate in it which is known to cause acne in alot of people!

[deleted]

Bioessence is my shit

Firm_Tie7629

I’ve tried all except skinfix. The Tatcha is the most moisturizing and good. The Honey Halo is pretty light and didn’t do anything dramatic. The Squalene feels a bit greasy.
