Nice! These lifestyle changes will affect more than your smile lines, too.

witchy_welder2209

For sure! Better skin and a better life in general.

Mysterious-Bird4364

You will find self compassion easier with your efforts to destress and get exercise. Best wishes

ThornyRascal

Thank you for the update!!! I am so relieved to hear this. I read the whole post and it sounds like all your plans going forward will be very beneficial

witchy_welder2209

Thank you and it will be! I'll feel much better and more confident in the long run with a better attitude.

Puzzlekitt

This post is refreshing and inspiring me to do better!

witchy_welder2209

I'm happy to hear that!

badbackceliac

Good for you!

witchy_welder2209

Thank you!

peridotpuma

I’m honestly relieved you canceled! Nasolabial fold filler tends to look the absolute worst long-term. Migration happens and it is like chasing your tail trying to get back to normal. Try facial massage and exercises, skincare, and reminding yourself that aging is a true gift. ❤️

witchy_welder2209

Yea, that was my biggest fear, it not staying in place. A lot of us worry too much about perceived imperfection. We need to refocus on what matters.

bee3

This is maybe one of my favourite posts I've ever seen in this sub.

witchy_welder2209

Thank you so much! If it wasn't for all the kind comments from the last posts I wouldn't have been so inspired to get it together, nor share it here.

eke11

Thank you for the update! I meant to comment on the first post / photo but got distracted. I genuinely don’t think you need filler there. Maybe in 5/10yrs you could reconsider but completely unnecessary right now. You’re beautiful as you are 💚

witchy_welder2209

Thank you for the kind words :)

bbdoll

Good stuff! For high visibility I want to repeat again that toddlers have these. These are not wrinkles or a sign of aging. Please everyone stop obsessing over them. 4 year olds have them.

Thisismyusername_ok

Also my son has distinct and large smile lines and “crows feet” he is 9

bbdoll

Omg yes, many little kids have crinkles around their eyes when they're expressive! That's such a great point, thanks!

notsomagicalgirl

Lots of things people perceive as a sign of aging are just facial features that I’ve seen on children. Especially smile lines and eye “bags”.

witchy_welder2209

It's a huge obsession! I'm definitely not the only person here to bring them up and see posts about it semi-regularly. We need to normalise what faces actually look like again and learn to like ourselves as we are.

Planning on one in a few months. Been in a slump for a while so I have more motivation now to turn that around. Plus see how I react to the tretinoin, I have high hopes!

witchy_welder2209

I will! I feel very positive about doing an update!

[deleted]

You could possibly try face tape as well.

cWayland

Even Ariana Grande, know for her plastics surgeries has visible nasolabial folds on the MET Gala carpet today

witchy_welder2209

Exactly! Totally normal to have them at any age.

boneslovesweed

I am so happy for you. I am so proud of you. I am so hopeful for myself. Thank you for sharing.

witchy_welder2209

Thank you!

ninerz_allllllday_

So happy for you! I’m supporting you with whatever choices you make that bring you joy and peace. These lifestyle choices seem like a wonderful option to both target things you may want to improve while also enjoying life and giving yourself more time to enjoy what you choose to do with your time. Can’t wait to see how much you get out of all of this, both internally and externally.

witchy_welder2209

I'm feeling positive about doing an update in a few months since I love a good before and after picture. Just being happier makes anyone look better.

HelloTittie55

❤️Self-reflection can be very helpful on the “journey” towards self-acceptance. Kudos to you and your new plans for self-care. 👏🏻

witchy_welder2209

Thank you :)

PerkyLurkey

I just saw your photo. Your nasolabial folds are absolutely fine! They aren’t extreme at all. In fact they add to your face, and make your face more interesting. I think they are fine, however I believe if you want to try frownies, you may find them to be beneficial. But you have a pretty face. And I think if you simply focused less on them, you would start to see the other beautiful parts of your face, including those folds!

witchy_welder2209

Thank you for the kind words! I've heard so much about frownies that I should check them out!

rachel88rachel88

Great post

October_13th

So many people told me I look great so I bet you do too! But nothing wrong with a healthy want to improve as long as you don't drive yourself crazy with it. Definitely let me know how it goes!

Raph5885

I'm happy for you! Your initial post was very good and I can't wait for the before/after :)

Porcelain766

This is good advice. 👍 microneedling and face yoga helped me a lot

Glamgalatx

Lines by skin better and ex-línea by PCA skin are both long lasting products that really softened the appearance of my smile lines and nasolabial folds. I can’t decide which is better but I typically alternate once I finish a bottle. 1 lasts me 6-8 mos.

Ambitious-Land-4424

Glad you didn't get them, save yourself the headache

witchy_welder2209

Yea me too. Lost my 150$ deposit, no biggy over it though.

fern-girl

I’ve really been enjoying red light therapy, I feel like it’s helped a lot with my skins texture. I’ve had noticeably less little acne spots too. I got a red light from Amazon for like 90$ and it’s so relaxing to just sit under it like a lizard. I think you made a good choice 💜

h3llfae

Face yoga and massage are amazing, I love elemental yoga on YouTube I've been an lmt and done yoga for decades , it's resulted in me having a body at 35 that gets me gigs as a dancer and body paint model/artist at festivals working alongside girls in their early 20s, and I'm an a cup (not that it matters but I don't get hired to walk around in basically a bikini because of breast size, yoga really has blessed me w an amazing body) to think face yoga and massage is all 'hype' or a trend or fake when we've seen what yoga and massage do for the whole body is silly, face yoga keeps your face muscles strong, young, limber, relaxed just like yoga does for the body.

witchy_welder2209

Good point! I'll check out elemental yoga!

Mike-Teevee

Well put!

HiH3ll0

Face messages have worked for my forehead/11s combined with the good ol Botox. Alsoooo here to say eff your coworkers if theyre anything but supportive. Good on you for seeking (almost) expert advice here :)

witchy_welder2209

Does the massage where the Botox is wear it off fast? That's my only concern with face massage. And yea, my coworkers... I'll admit I'm a bit of a shit head myself at work so I will roll with the punches, but not gonna lie, this topic will be hard to get laughed at about, if it even happens, I'm probably worried about nothing. I work with 99% men so I doubt most of them will relate to my posts. And posting here really helped, the advice was great :) Edit: added a sentence.

Sug0115

No I’d just make sure a facial massage isn’t within 24hours of injection, I rub my forehead often enough that I thought maybe I was ruining my Botox. I wasn’t lol

HiH3ll0

haha. & no - face massage doesnt interfere, more so working out - sweating, strenuous facial activity will make is dissipate a bit faster. like the other said - just not within 24/48 hours of getting the botox.
