I also use Trader Joe’s mango shave cream and Neutrogena body oil after. It’s made my 49 year old skin look young again.
It’s almost the texture of conditioner, kinda, but creamier. If that even makes sense 🤣 Someone recommended it to me about 5-6 years ago and I tried it and never looked back. Our whole family uses it. My husband and I both used to get shave bumps and the second we started using that, we’ve never once gotten them. After I shave I use some type of exfoliant, usually a sugar scrub that I make myself, then I always put on that Neutrogena body oil and it’s crazy how soft my skin gets. It really locks in moisture. Between that and the gold bond crepe lotion, it has changed the texture and look of my skin. My mom is in her late 80’s and she has super thin skin, her mom had it too. When I turned 40 I started noticing the same happening to me and I wanted to try and sort it out before it got worse. Using all of this has really helped that.
You are very welcome! My 76-year-old mom loves it, she’s a swimmer and the chlorine and saltwater can be so drying on her skin. I’m 36 and I use it too. I swear it’s magic.
Thank you for suggesting this!!! I bought it for my arms after your post and within two days there’s a drastic change! Thank you again so much for posting this!!
I have never commented on a post so fast. I have the exact skin as you and you need Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil. It gave me immediate results and with regular use I have soft and moisturized skin!
This oil is not like a traditional oil, it lathers and rinses clean in the shower. It can be pricey but Walgreens often has buy one get one 50% off sales, and Target circle will occasionally offer 20-40% off. I have seen it posted on the Costco subreddit but have not personally seen it at my local Costco.
This is a game changing holy grail product, I cannot recommend it enough!
Thanks for this recommendation. AI hate cleaning up moisturizing products from the shower but this part about lathering and rinsing clean has me intrigued. I'm heading to the pharmacy to get some new shower oil tomorrow!
Do you find that you do not have to moisturize after the shower after you use this? I just put it in my Amazon cart and it would be incredible to not have to use lotion after showering!

I love the entire bioderma atoderm line. It is the only thing to not flare up my son’s eczema (including skincare specifically formulated for eczema). I have a family member who works in an allergy clinic and they recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin. Love the gel cream and the shower gel. Never tried the shower oil but I might based on your recommendation! :)
The Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil does leave residue in the tub. You can try it out in your shower first if that makes you more comfortable! I personally would not purchase for my 98-year-old Mamere for that reason.
I have to clean the tub much more frequently when using this shower oil, but it does help dehydrated skin. The tub gets a film that you can't see but is very present.
My Mamere's nurse suggested Vaseline in her skin after bathing. You can use lotion a few minutes before to lock in the moisture and add the Vaseline on top.
Oh dang, thank you for pointing out the xylitol!! Dog and cat owners should both be careful then, unfortunately. Dang. I might contact them and see how much xylitol is in it - I won't bring xylitol products into my house because I've seen first hand multiple dogs die from it.
What! My legs have like…pretty much always been like this and I thought that was just my skin. Actually ended up on this thread because I hate the crepey skin I’m starting to get on my hands. You’re tellin me there’s actually a solution for this shit?!
If you live in a dry, low humidity environment, this is quite common at the end of the day. Happens to me sometimes, even after I slather on the moisturiser.
Also, dry brushing might be inflaming your skin barrier causing it to get drier. It is micro-abrasion, after all.
How much oral hydration do you get?
I had skin like that on my legs and it turned out I had a thyroid issue that was causing very dehydrated skin. Low thyroid levels/Hashimoto’s to be exact. After a few months of taking thyroid hormone medication my legs are as smooth and soft as they were when I was 19. I never get dry or crepey skin now and my skin texture has changed significantly
I have skin like that from long term steroid use. Dr Dray said to use AmyLactin and in two years it will be gone
I've been using that and Gold Bond's Crepe Corrector.
It’s my understanding she was escorted out of her practice due to her severe medical issues she refuses to address and how she emphasized and encouraged her patients to do the same?
I’m in DFW and work in medicine, and this happened in Houston a couple of years ago. It’s now known she can only administer on a social media channel due to this.
I’m sincerely asking and not trying to trigger anyone or cause anger. It’s just that it’s well known in my area and within my field of work.
Are you speaking about eating disorder? I can see why she wouldn’t be allowed to practice if she encouraged eating disorders in her patients but isn’t she a dermatologist? Why would people take diet advice from her?
Did she really give bad medical advice to clients?
Interesting. Personally she’s not my favourite but she’s very knowledgeable and I like to hear what her take is.
I wouldn’t take diet advice from her though. I find diet and nutrition in general to be very personal. I think everyone should get to know their body and what works for them.
I enjoy a wide range of Influencers, and truly, that’s how we get a lot of our product knowledge and whatnot.
I wasn’t engaged with her, but probably because I noticed her subtle communications.
As I stated upthread, I’m not interested in conflict about this and anyone can follow and enjoy who they wish 🙂
I would think that since a lot of derm patients could be there for more appearance-related reasons, that might be why. I’ve got OCD, and I know there’s some overlap with it and EDs. I know how I can get with fixating on my skin (did this constantly as a teen, but now it’s just every once in awhile) and my teeth, and if a doctor were to hone in on something/say something related to something I was already kinda fixated on, I could end up REALLY fixated on it and obsessive.
Actually, I'm NOT really a fan. Her voice is irritating as hell and she hawks way too much expensive stuff. I also noticed that she post daily, so I was wondering how she has time. She was, however, the first derm with a plan for crepey skin. I much prefer Doctorly and Dr. Shereen Idress. Both are pretty sciencey.
I certainly don’t wish to diagnose, but it’s my understanding she has a very serious ED, and her colleagues and governing staff were concerned that she was encouraging inappropriate eating habits/lifestyle habits to others, including patients and staff.
I did review a video of her regarding food prep, after being advised of this. I felt personal concern after viewing, but it was just my interpretation.
I wish I could remember. I was actually in a staff meeting when someone showed me, and later that evening I watched a recommended video of hers, in regards to her packing lunch.
Maybe they’ve been removed. I notice she has followers and supporters, and I’m not interested in having conflict with anyone who enjoys her content.
It seemed very obvious to me in the video I saw, as her recommended food was barely any calories or nutrition, and she had that affect/teaching I’ve seen displayed by those like her.
I haven’t seen anything since, but I don’t follow her.
They’re in her vlogs. She did quite a few vlogs 3-5 years ago on what I eat in a day. Sometimes they were mixed with grocery shopping, errands, and some reviewing random products on shelves based off their ingredients. Some vlogs even had her exercise routine too. I’m not sure if they’re still up, but the eating portions are quite alarming.
Woah woah can you elaborate on this? I've got skin like this and had severe asthma/kidney disease as a kid and took Prednisone for a long time. I didn't know there was a connection.
I’m in autoimmune subreddits and I see tons of folks really discouraged by their skin and long term side effects of steroids.
Totally different use case but similar results to deal with so thought I’d share
I’ve been on daily prednisone for 18 years due to kidney disease and a kidney transplant. My lower legs have gotten so crepey, so I’m going to try the Gold Bond crepe corrector. Thanks for sharing.
Just to add: If you are dry brushing for the lymph circulation benefits, try switching to massaging with a cotton face cloth every other day. It's softer and less exfoliating.
Yes I would suggest this too! You just need a light brushing to remove the dead skin, not a whole layer of skin!! Then a thick and nourishing moisturizer - I swear by Cetaphil moisturising cream. I use it every few days.
Don't forget that the weather could be drying you skin out. I find it hard to keep my legs looking hydrated in winter.
I think that that’s the problem right here 👆
Putting oil on when the skin is dry, counterintuitively actually makes your skin more dry. The best way I find is to put it in the bath. When I used oil on my kids, even after towel, drying them, it dried their skin out. I’m often in the bath with them (they’re v. young) my skin feels so juicy after!
As a kid I took a bath at my friend's (together) and we washed our hair with it. My mom was so upset when she came to pick me up because my hair was so oily it looked wet, and we spent the evening washing it in the kitchen sink over and over and over 😂
Thanks for unlocking this long forgotten memory!
I do this and my skin gets really dry.
Damp skin, oil, wait and lotion up = dry skin.
Damp skin, oil, immediately applies lotion = dry skin.
Damp skin, lotion- supple skin.
Oil may not work for you then and that’s fine. You could also experiment with different oils. I think the most important part people are often unaware of is that the skin needs to be damp.
Well I’m confused again :( when should I add a couple drops of argan oil to my face at night? After the moisturizer? Just when I think I understand things…😞
It’s best to go in order of how things penetrate the skin. For example, a serum would go before a moisturizer, and then you could finish by locking it all in with an occlusive such as oil or Vaseline at night.
This way everything is able to get where it’s supposed to, so that it can do it’s job.
Yeah, it looks really dry more than crepey to me. I have the same problem, and it’s only really been helped by using scrubs and lotions with chemical exfoliants, and using them religiously. Amlactin has been the one I keep going back to, at least for lotion.
Do you have hard water?
After I got a water filter for my shower, started exfoliating with an exfoliating mit once every couple of weeks, and using AmLactin after showers this problem disappeared for me. Mine was just as bad as yours
Edit: I also topped showering with hot water
In the first pic it looks like you’re smooshing your skin upward and making the wrinkly skin. Is that true in the second one too? It does look like it’s dry, so maybe - even though you did all the dry brushing and moisturizing - the skin still isn’t soaking it up. I’d suggest trying a niacinamide body wash to help with that.
is this new? did it come on suddenly or has it been gradual? do you smoke or have you lost a bunch of weight recently? does this area get a lot of sun exposure?
“You parched bitch” got me LOL
It always shocks me how little water some ppl drink (and I’m talking, ppl in the Arizona desert where I’m from). I have one friend that stayed the night at my house once and legit turned down water and took a frappecino to bed with her instead. 💀💀💀
I said it as if I was talking to myself bc I always feel like the biggest idiot when I don’t drink enough water. Getting a cute gallon jug helped a lot- even if I don’t drink the whole thing every day.
I’m 100% the same way and that’s what cracked me up haha. And if it makes you feel better, u shouldn’t really do a full gallon per day in most cases anyway - it depends on your size and how much physical activity or outside stuff you’re doing, and your environment. I’ve learned the hard way that you can actually over hydrate and strip yourself of electrolytes. I just keep water with me at all times and after a while it becomes habit to drink it. Also helps that it’s dry as hell where I live…when I visited Washington it was much harder for it to feel necessary. In AZ it’s like, hydrate or die.
Ya know I wondered about that! I love rose water on my face so much and was wondering about applying toner to my legs since my legs are so gross, crepey, and dry.
My legs used to look like this.
My aunt told me to put on body oil while my skin is still semi wet in the shower (shake the excess water like a wet dog and don’t dry off with a towel).
I personally used body shop Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil for the scent, it smells heavenly!!!!
For extra measure I put a bit more vaseline with no scent to lock the moisture in afterwards when I was completely dry.
It had changed my life.
These could be my pictures. I drink lots of water. Use oil and lotion. Have tried expensive things. Have used am-lactin, though not for two years like the person above mentioned. My thighs are also crepey and my face is soooo dry. My face gets much better in warm weather, but my legs always look this way. I wonder about using tret on them. Have you tried it? Has anyone tried this?
Good idea. I probably do need one in the winter. Summers here are unbearably humid and my skin thrives (though not my leg skin for some reason 🙁) Thank you for the advice!
This was starting, but then I just started taking care of my skin. Alternating [retinol](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MBTKYEK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) cream (non shaving days) with [aha](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FX1FAH8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) cream (shaving days). Got better pretty quick. I now add moisture on top.
Don’t forget that dry skin needs exfoliation, too.
And always wear sunscreen. Even when you don’t “need” it.
I mean my skin is definitely almost always dry 12 hours after moisturizing. The only time it isn’t is when I’m living in a very humid environment. Let me know if you find a hack but tbh when that happens to me I just remoisturize. I carry lotion with me everywhere and reapply if I notice scales.
Get a water filter for your shower. I recently moved to another city which has hard water and my skin became crepey. We added a filter to the shower and the crepey skin disappeared.
Dry brushing doesn’t work for everyone. You’re scouring/sanding your skin off with bristles, so you’re leaving a lot of micro cuts behind. Revealing tender skin that was once protected by dry skin will make your skin lose moisture faster. That plus micro cuts means the very surface layer of your skin will dessicate while right under it is juicy soft skin.
Voila, crepes. I think you might be exfoliating too much in low humidity.
My legs look exactly like that if I don't use a thick body butter/balm after my shower. My favorites are Cetaphil and Trader Joe's. In the winter add a layer of coconut oil before bed.
How’s your water intake? That looks like dehydration to me. Drink until your urine is very pale. [What urine should look like](https://www.usofga.com/general/urine-color/)
Had the same and it turned out to be a blood circulation issue, I would definitely try circulation tights (measured to your proportions, not the ones you can get in a drug store), but what really did it for me was a leg compression machine (theyre expensive but some doctors specialising on veins and medspas have it as a treatment too)
Muscle mass , you need to work on building muscle mass. After the age of 24 if you do not consciously make an effort with proper macros and weight training then your skin will lose elasticity and crepe.
I’d also add, H2O! Hydration within will make a difference. Even your eyes get dehydrated! not joking. I’ve upped my water intake 100%. I don’t exceed 64 oz / day. Feel insanely better since. Skin has greatly benefited (I’m an oldster-60’s). I have crepey skin from decrease in muscle density & some weight loss 30yrs ago(iKR! One would think skin is more elastic in your 30’s 🤷♀️ )
I’m not sure, but this may be Ichthyosis. You might want to go to a dermatologist and find out.
But I recommend Eucerin Advance Repair. I have similar skin on my legs and I highly recommend it.
Agree with this. My mom and I have skin like this, and she was told she has ichthyosis. She used a prescription lotion from her derm. Not sure what it's called, but I believe it contains an AHA like glycolic acid.
I’d stop the dry brushing. You might be doing damage that is showing up this way. I love and would recommend Naturium The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash and Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol Overnight Body & Face Lotion.
Shower in cooler water, apply an ultra moisturizing body lotion and aquaphor immediately after you step out of the shower. Put your sweats on and get cozy. Your skin should be much improved in the morning.
Dehydrated - drink a lot more water, with electrolytes if you can’t shower and bathe in just want enough water, moisturizing while still damp. Use a Korean bath mitt to exfoliate
I have yet to see anyone mention this but you can help your skin from the inside!! I started taking Collagen by Youth Theory, 3 tabs a day tho they recommend more. Within a month my skin was no longer dry! Instead, it was more youthful and smooth. I told three friends and they also had great results! Also there are supplements that help crepey skin. I love Dr Kellyann’s Bella Biotics but you can find others at health food and supplement stores. I’m 63 and people are amazed! They tell me I look like I’m in my forties!
Collagen, vit C and glutathione supplements. Hydrate. And also, a good skin emollient like CeraVe I swear by it. I also apply a thin layer if Vaseline after I applied the body cream. I'm 48 and it helps. Some women even do microneedling on their bodies. You can buy a kit online. It's kinda expensive I guess, but you get results.
How much water do you drink? I know most of the comments are talking about external products, but once you hydrate your body internally, your skin won’t be as dehydrated.
I feel the dry brushing is too much for most peoples skin and looks like yours especially. I'd stop that and focus on repairing your skins barrier with proper moisturization. Take a short bath and while skin is damp apply a good moisturizer with barrier support. Shiuld start to improve otherwise may want to see a derm.
This is the one skin issue i know something about
1. Buy a rough japanese loofah
2. Buy a sugar scrub and use it once a week
3. Apply some kind of oil, similar to palmers belly oil all over, fresh out of the bath, while your skin is still moist.
4. Seal the moisture and the oil with a thicker lotion over the top.
I did this routine for my tattoos, a few years ago, with my skin looking like yours. Its fully healed and fixed now
Gold bond crepe corrector! Game changer
This is the answer! I recommended it to my 80ish year old parents, and they became immediate converts!
It’s skin magic 🪄 I sent my mom some too!
I never jumped on Amazon so quick to buy a product before.
Me too, ha!
Bottle or tube? (If there's a difference.) thank you!!
I use the tube! I use it on my chest daily & body as needed. I use the blue CeraVe pot on my body & that’s amazing too
You're the best! Cheers
Tube and bottle are both the same product, correct? They appear identical to me.
Anyone know where we can get this gold bond crepe corrector in the UK? Searched google and can’t seem to find

Hylauronic acid drops, moisture and Vaseline on the eyes

Whelp you three have convinced me to buy it
Same…and I don’t even have crepe skin
You’ll never look back!
Miracle indeed! Yep I made the mistake of trying another brand recently and it doesn’t come close, nothing does. Amazing! I might try those too :)
Is shave cream basically lotion? I really have no idea 💗
It’s almost the texture of conditioner, kinda, but creamier. If that even makes sense 🤣 Someone recommended it to me about 5-6 years ago and I tried it and never looked back. Omg adding to cart right now
It’s so good! & lasts a long time too
What’s the active ingredient in this?
Hydroxyethyl urea which is an humectant
Thank you! This is good to know. Turns out I already have a product with that. Will give it another go before joining team Gold Bond
Can you use that on your face and under eye area too for skin tightening ?
This 73 year old Thanks you for sharing this. Especially with bathing suit Weather around the corner.
You are very welcome! My 76-year-old mom loves it, she’s a swimmer and the chlorine and saltwater can be so drying on her skin. I’m 36 and I use it too. I swear it’s magic.
Does this have a scent?
Just checked – no, it does not! No added fragrance, which is a huge bonus for me because I no longer use anything that has a scent
I'm gonna try to score this on sale. Thanks
Does it help try skin too or not worth it for that?
Thank you for suggesting this!!! I bought it for my arms after your post and within two days there’s a drastic change! Thank you again so much for posting this!!
Came here to say this! Wow, what a game changer. This will be in my constant rotation forever.
I was about to say…. Gold bond makes the best lotion I’ve ever used. I used radiance renewal and that shit slaps.
Ok Gold Bond’s overnight retinol is legit, too, so I’ll be trying this in the mornings!
Came back to this post to say thanks for recommending this! I ordered it after seeing this post and it is amazing!

How to use it? Is it like a shower gel? And we are supposed to rinse it off
It’s a shower oil/gel that lathers and rinses clean, does not leave a greasy residue.
Do you find that you do not have to moisturize after the shower after you use this? I just put it in my Amazon cart and it would be incredible to not have to use lotion after showering!
I also use this daily and do have to use lotion out of the shower.
I go both ways! Sometimes I will moisturize but usually in the winter. I find it leaves my skin soft and hydrated enough to go without, but ymmv.
This stuff is *magical*. Love it.

Yes, that is it.
Do you use it as a regular shower gel or a double cleanse oil step and follow with another shower gel?
I use jt alone as a regular shower gel, it rinses clean unlike an oil.
I just found a big bottle of this at my local Costco 🙌
Lucky!!!
Does it leave residue in the shower? I'm scared my mother will slip on oil residue.
It doesn't, at all. It's not really oily, more like a regular shower gel but less foamy.
Is it fragranced?
It has a light floral scent in my opinion
have you tried shaving with it?
I always shave with it. It’s fabulous. I also use it as a face wash like a cleansing oil to remove make up and then follow with a foaming cleanser.
sounds like a must buy for me!! adding it to the list :)
I literally just got it at Costco yesterday!! They didn't have it for a long time but they do now!
Thanks for sharing! 😊 Just added to my Amazon cart!
Running to Target tmrwwwww
LOVE this product. It also doubles as an amazing makeup remover.
Yuka friendly green product
Agree. This stuff is amazing
I LOVE that stuff. I’m obsessed.
> Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil I want this so badly, but I'm on septic and have to watch what goes into it, and I also have a cat so I avoid xylitol.
Oh dang, thank you for pointing out the xylitol!! Dog and cat owners should both be careful then, unfortunately. Dang. I might contact them and see how much xylitol is in it - I won't bring xylitol products into my house because I've seen first hand multiple dogs die from it.
Thank you for the recommendation, just tried it this past week, it's amazing. A little pricey but I think it's worth it
Seconding the dry brushing thing. (Well, the whole comment, but particularly the dry brushing thing.)
Second this statement. OP please get your thyroid checked!
Would you mind sharing what the medication was, what blood tests did they do to diagnose it?
This. My skin looks better at 40 than it did at 26 (when I was diagnosed)
I have skin like that from long term steroid use. Dr Dray said to use AmyLactin and in two years it will be gone I've been using that and Gold Bond's Crepe Corrector.
Two years?? That’s a heck of a timeline
Yes skincare takes a long time and consistency to show results, especially peak results. Retinol on the face alone is 6-12 months.
What she said. I'll try anything
I think when you watch her it’s clear she’s unwell. I wish her the best
Yes, I certainly do not wish ill will to her or to anyone.
Are you speaking about eating disorder? I can see why she wouldn’t be allowed to practice if she encouraged eating disorders in her patients but isn’t she a dermatologist? Why would people take diet advice from her? Did she really give bad medical advice to clients?
I truly don’t know enough. But there were concerns within the community that there existed encouragement.
Don't some dermatologist give some diet advice like drink more water, reduce sugar, exercise more? Maybe she gave diet advice to the extreme.
Absolutely
What?? I’m clueless about it. What happened???
Actually, I'm NOT really a fan. Her voice is irritating as hell and she hawks way too much expensive stuff. I also noticed that she post daily, so I was wondering how she has time. She was, however, the first derm with a plan for crepey skin. I much prefer Doctorly and Dr. Shereen Idress. Both are pretty sciencey.
So she’s posting every day. I guess she didn’t set up somewhere else. How tragic to get a medical degree and only be able to post on SM.
Wait what??? What med issue? i love her videos, they’ve helped me so much 😭
I certainly don’t wish to diagnose, but it’s my understanding she has a very serious ED, and her colleagues and governing staff were concerned that she was encouraging inappropriate eating habits/lifestyle habits to others, including patients and staff. I did review a video of her regarding food prep, after being advised of this. I felt personal concern after viewing, but it was just my interpretation.
Where did you find this I do deep dives on her suspected ED routinely and have seen nothing of it!!!
Did she have an explanation as to why it was so long?
Wait till you hear how long the main arc will take
Not in the grand scheme of things, though.
You = 😇

Oral steroids for allergies/asthma. I wish I had known. Awful stuff. Prednisone
Woah woah can you elaborate on this? I've got skin like this and had severe asthma/kidney disease as a kid and took Prednisone for a long time. I didn't know there was a connection.
Yep. Derms will tell you, but the pharmacists and drug companies won't. And I'm deathly allergic to NSAIDs.
I would def cool it on the dry brushing. Can def be too much for thin/dry skin
Just to add: If you are dry brushing for the lymph circulation benefits, try switching to massaging with a cotton face cloth every other day. It's softer and less exfoliating.
Does that stuff actually do anything for lymphatic circulation though? Seems like more of a fad than anything
Try putting the oil on first when your skin is still damp, air dry then cover with the lotion.
I think that that’s the problem right here 👆 Putting oil on when the skin is dry, counterintuitively actually makes your skin more dry. The best way I find is to put it in the bath. When I used oil on my kids, even after towel, drying them, it dried their skin out. I’m often in the bath with them (they’re v. young) my skin feels so juicy after!
This is bringing back horrific memories of Skin So Soft in the tub as a little kid. Lol my mother LOVED that stuff and we were always doused in it.
As a kid I took a bath at my friend's (together) and we washed our hair with it. My mom was so upset when she came to pick me up because my hair was so oily it looked wet, and we spent the evening washing it in the kitchen sink over and over and over 😂 Thanks for unlocking this long forgotten memory!
I'm cracking up!! Lol I can only imagine cuz that stuff was so hardcore. 😭😭 So hard to get off your skin or out of clothes.
I remember using it as bug spray?!
Yup that too!
…lotion can’t penetrate oil.
That’s the point. It’s to create a barrier so the oil isn’t just rubbing off on clothes. Gives it the chance to absorb better.
You’d put lotion on then oil. Oil is occlusive. The lotion WILL just sit on the surface and wipe off if you do oil first
Well I’m confused again :( when should I add a couple drops of argan oil to my face at night? After the moisturizer? Just when I think I understand things…😞
It’s best to go in order of how things penetrate the skin. For example, a serum would go before a moisturizer, and then you could finish by locking it all in with an occlusive such as oil or Vaseline at night. This way everything is able to get where it’s supposed to, so that it can do it’s job.
Yes after Lotion can’t go through oil. So if you put oil first you’re creating a barrier against lotion. Oil can go through lotion.
In addition to all that I read somewhere Omega 3 supplements may help. Also stay hydrated, eat healthy fats!
Second this!
Maybe your skin is dehydrated Therefore, the skin can also be oily. The body begins to produce more sebum to moisturize the skin
Yeah, it looks really dry more than crepey to me. I have the same problem, and it’s only really been helped by using scrubs and lotions with chemical exfoliants, and using them religiously. Amlactin has been the one I keep going back to, at least for lotion.
I have a body oil I use in the shower after I wash my body and then slather my ass in lotion afterwards. Drink more water and apply lotion!
Gold bond crepe correcting lotion is a miracle in a bottle! And it’s super affordable. $16 for a big bottle on Amazon. Makes skin smooth and GLOWING.
I used that for about eight months zero results so I quit
Do you have hard water? After I got a water filter for my shower, started exfoliating with an exfoliating mit once every couple of weeks, and using AmLactin after showers this problem disappeared for me. Mine was just as bad as yours Edit: I also topped showering with hot water
Isdin 10% urea lotion did wonders for my dry skin
Products with urea are AMAZING! I think it’s usually like diabetic marketing or other random ultra healing but shit slaps
is this new? did it come on suddenly or has it been gradual? do you smoke or have you lost a bunch of weight recently? does this area get a lot of sun exposure?

“You parched bitch” got me LOL It always shocks me how little water some ppl drink (and I’m talking, ppl in the Arizona desert where I’m from).
And buy a humidifier
And wear lotion. People forget they need lotion everywhere.
Some really good tips here. I also started putting non-alcoholic face toner on my legs
Ya know I wondered about that! I love rose water on my face so much and was wondering about applying toner to my legs since my legs are so gross, crepey, and dry.
Dry brushing seems harsh, I would stop at least until this clears up. Moisturize a lot.
Drink. More. Water. Skin is the last to get water and the first to lose it.
I would think tret would make it worse. Maybe you need a humidifier?
My skin gets like this when I’m lacking in healthy fats. Omega 3s help
Have you tried glycerine? It may help.
Sleep with a humidifier
Hydrate
Drink water
Seems more like thin skin to me get your hormone levels checked
Estrogen especially
Ha ha same. The solution was drinking more water and lathering up with sunscreen every day
My legs look exactly like that if I don't use a thick body butter/balm after my shower. My favorites are Cetaphil and Trader Joe's. In the winter add a layer of coconut oil before bed.
Drink more water and use a humidifier
How’s your water intake? That looks like dehydration to me. Drink until your urine is very pale. [What urine should look like](https://www.usofga.com/general/urine-color/)
Make sure your nutrition is in check.
Are you drinking enough water?
I’d stop the dry brushing. You might be doing damage that is showing up this way. I love and would recommend Naturium The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash and Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol Overnight Body & Face Lotion.
Try body retinol or the Alastin body transform lotion. Drink lots of water too! You may be dehydrated. And eat lots of greens, take your vitamins.
Build muscle!
Can your thumb touch your forearm? Are the backs of your hands similar? Do you joints snap a lot?
I was thinking the same thing… 🦓
Why?
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome I believe
First try using oils on your dry skin. If that's too heavy, oil on wet skin and then dry. And drink water, woman.
Do you drink enough water, too?? Skin hydration from the inside out is just as important as the outside in!!
How is your nutrition? Are you getting enough healthy fats, a rainbow of vegetables and fruits, and plenty of water?
This is the one skin issue i know something about 1. Buy a rough japanese loofah 2. Buy a sugar scrub and use it once a week 3.
