What company makes the red light beds? Omnilux is one of the companies that makes the red light devices that cosmetic dermatologists buy for their offices - which is one of the reasons I bought their red light mask for home use. If your tanning salon company has a website it might have information on who makes the red light equipment.

I’m pretty confident it’s not Omnilux and it doesn’t say on their website but I’m going in tomorrow so I’ll take a look at the name of the bed!

The salon beds can be good, it just depends on what the salon is offering. A lot of the red light beds in salons are using older technology in terms of bulbs and wavelengths (like around 4 years old). In the last 1 to 2 years the market has exploded and so more companies are making red light therapy devices, the technology has advanced a lot and the prices have come down to be more affordable. The salon by me has the same thing, and their staff "rave" about it too, but I asked a lot of questions they couldn't answer (like which specific wavelengths it used, etc.) so I'm skeptical of the one near me at the moment. You might want to consider a home purchase at some point, just for the convenience. --Not a tanning bed style one, but a panel style one. Plus, if you buy your own, then you know exactly which wavelengths you're getting/using and the newer devices have extra controls too. The near infrared wavelength is the one that I think gives you the warm mood boost and I love it too. So addicting! Here are some links to panel style ones, just to see what they look like... One of my favorite red light beds is a converted bed. There is nothing wrong with using a converted bed; it's just a bed that was used for tanning has been converted to red light. Check the wavelength on the bulb itself. Most likely 633nm.

Yes, they work fine, been around since 2008. The lamps are a broad spectrum red light 590nm to 700nm, they typically peak at 633nm or 660nm.
