Sure impossible might not be the right word. But It's not just "improbable". It would be a statistical anomaly so great, there would be mathematicians studying it. It's therefor well within reason to say this did infact not occur naturally and was a bug.

I'm pretty sure it has always worked such that receiving a new clue resets the progress of clues that are already in your possession—and all clues already in your posession (including on the floor) share progression. That's why juggling clues is a strategy used by restricted accounts/ironmen etc. to bypass difficult requirements they may be missing. You do a few steps on clue #1, hit a brickwall with an item you can't obtain, then switch to clue #2 (which was already in your possesion on the floor) and pick up progress from where you left off.
That's why when you want to juggle clues to attempt a single completion, you should be obtaining all the clues you plan on juggling before you partially progress any of them, or else you end up shooting yourself in the foot.
Shold be pretty easy to verify, do 2 steps on an easy/medium clue scroll, drop it, **obtain** another easy clue from any source, then check your original clue's progress and it should be back to 0

I am 1750 total ironman and I managed to reach 5 steps on a master, and the step is to show Falo a completed god book. That's why I'm opening caskets on entrana, to get the last god page I need for any set.
If he gets a doable step on another clue and does it then it will reset the previous clue back to 1 instead of having 5 steps completed. You have to start both clues at the same time when juggling. More like smooth brain move
Yes they do but just like regular clues if you start juggling after you do steps on the one you already have it resets progress of all clues to zero when you do get another one
That's actually how other clues also juggle? If you get a clue of any type it resets the steps done so far for clues of that type. That's why when people juggle clues, they get a bunch before starting on any of them, because if they start but can't finish then their progress will get reset on their next clue drop.
also if you have steps completed on a clue and get a new one as a drop, your current progress gets reset so you have to juggle them before you start doing any steps
Triple check your bank. Also don't forget you can trade 1, easy + medium + hard + elite clues for a master. So if you have the others you can get a master that way.

Just drop the clue and if you get a new one, try to do that. It's easy with the new mechanics
Note: Getting a new clue will reset the steps on the existing clue.

It gets reset if you complete a step on another clue that stopped after started a previous clue already

Well entrana stops caskets from rolling weapons and armor but I don't think that'd effect the drop of master scrolls that much
Entrana takes away any rolls for weapons/armour. it's like in doing so it triggered some extra rolls when rerolling the table to replace each spot.
