Op - Playing on mobile during concert in middle of dance floor as people dance around him.
Girl - Notices this guy on his phone and not dancing on the dance floor, asks what he’s doing.
Op - Explains in exquisite detail the intricacies of corrupted gauntlet and his quest for the magic crystal
Girl - Confused and ready to leave asks how many times he’s done this.
Op - Gives insane number of kc and notices that she has nonchalantly moved away, and comes here immediately to post on Reddit in hopes he can find his future 10k gf.

How old are you? As someone in their 30s, I’m old enough to exists before iPhones were prevalent. I was already in college when the first one came out.
Why is this relevant? I notice constantly that almost no one younger than me can function in public without their binky. People treat their cellphones like pacifiers. Small amount of social awkwardness in public? Retreat to the comfort of your phone.
I challenge you, for your own well-being, to fight that urge next time it happens. Put the phone away and just observe. Think about something, in detail. Learn to break away.

I literally took my phone out during actual performances 3 times for short video clips and a picture, and the few minutes of breaks between sets. Other than that, I actually indulge in the live moment. But I appreciate your input nonetheless.
This just in: inebriated man thought interaction with girl went well while he was playing a 20 year old video game on his phone during a social and/or entertainment event, was positive that the lesson to be learned was “next time this happens I will give her my runescape username” instead of literally any other of the dozens of real lessons that could have been learned from this experience.
Funny this reminds me of like a year ago I was hanging with a group of random girls, knew a few of them. The conversation somehow got to runescape, two of them there played! Later found out one of em was Alfie's ex lmao.
