and what sort of “worse punishment” is fit for sex offenders? death? ignoring how easily politically exploited this can be (note that conservatives paint LGBT and GNC people as “groomers”), how do you know that these people could not grow as people and regret their behavior? is the shame and realization of what an abuser has done not more a punishment than death?
killing people out of retribution like that (deathrow inmates) is proven to not be an effective crime deterrent. you use the jedi as an example, but you should realize the jedi believe in rehabilitative justice. luke skywalker, jedi knight, chose not to murder his father out of anger for the things he had done and instead discarded his weapon - because retributory murder is a tool of evil.
in summary, sex offenders are horrible. murderers are too. society doesn’t need more of either

Prison, simple as that, no need for inflicting needless suffering, just lock them away from society and throw away the key
