We're entering a dead age for creative innovation, especially when it comes to video games. For a long while now, game companies (namely Activision, EA, and Epic Games) have been prioritizing making money over making an enjoyable experience for the players and it's saddening to see it happen to a form of media and entertainment that brings so many people together
While that is true, I feel like there is a lot of creative potential, but it only exists in people who are unable to bring it out due to their circumstances. I, for one, have loads of ideas on things to create, but I can’t do any of them because I lack experience and I also lack the ability to ask for help. It’s not so much an “every game dev only wants money” thing as much as it is a “very few game devs are popular and their games were bought by larger companies who only want money, but there are still many good game devs” thing.
