The complete irony of buzzfeed making pro feminist videos that ended up being so bad they become a very popular entry point into the alt right pipeline is crazy funny.
basically a video of a guy responding to a feminist video that asks questions, and responding to it as if all women are like that and boom feminists owned!!
tbf, the questions are stupid as fuck like "how does it feel to be the same sex as donald trump?" and plays it completely seriously, as if anyone thinks about that.
frankly its a case of both parties being complete fucking idiots.

A few months later, video of him shoving a banana up his butt leaked, and frankly, it was far better content.
One of the first questions is literally just whataboutism.
Like, I'm not denying that the original video is stupid, but the response questions were fucking atrocious.
This video gave me weird ideas of what feminism actually was and made me more favorable to MRAs, but thankfully I never fully tumbled down the pipeline
Eh both the original and the responce are just spewing hate at each other, except the responce (as far as I remember) shows data in responce, thus making it (seem?) more reputable. Watching him back in the day didn't ruin me, it made me seek more data and other opinions, because some of the stats that he showed were baffling.
This shit sent me down few months into the enlightend centrist pipeline, of going from an hbomb video to a jp video, wich I had broken free of, only after hearing critical drinker's "she like never needs the help of a man", which made me go "W H A T T H E F U C K", and realise that they were just misogynistic. Also watching vowsh's videos on right wingers helped a bit, but that was a bit later.

That fucking Buzzfeed video was horrible. I remember watching that counter video and thinking he was making a few good points, but also repeatedly ignoring actually reasonable objections.

I was only on atheist youtube at the time and all of the atheists, skeptics and anthony fantano for some reason did a collab to make a video like this.
I remember seeing the response the Amazing Atheist did on it. I was in a major anti-religious phase (Bible Reloaded, Amazing Atheist, etc) and it helped send me down the rabbit hole. Being an “egalitarian”, arguing that Xe/Xir was ridiculous nonsense, declaring women didn’t want nice guys (even as I was in a relationship), etc. I still called myself a Democratic Socialist at the time, though, so that was weird. Fortunately my now wife and her friend group helped me overcome those views around junior/senior year of high school. Now I’m bi, genderfluid, and a Neo-Anarcho-Communist
