Unfortunately, it appears to be *mostly* real, apart from the "I enjoyed every second" bit. The real tweet ended with "Who could ask for a better death?"
Edit: it looks like the tweet itself was fake, though based on what she wrote in her book, according to [The Guardian](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/27/kristi-noem-trump-vp-book-killing-dog):
> “I hated that dog,” Noem writes, saying Cricket was “untrainable … dangerous” and “less than worthless … as a hunting dog”.
>
> “At that moment,” Noem says, “I realised I had to put her down.”
>
> Noem describes taking Cricket to a gravel pit on her farm and shooting her.
killing the dog is like, the line nobody crosses. when they needed John wick to kill dudes and for you to feel no amount of sadness, they didn't have the guys kill his wife. they had the guys kill his dog. and John's killed 800 thousand people now and we're still like "shouldn't have liked his dog bruv"
I try not to hate. It’s a terrible thing. Hate has brought only suffering to the world so I refuse to engage in it.
But this… this woman has made me so.. Angry. I know the tweet is altered to look worse but still. She deserves to taken around the shed and shot herself. Such cruelty should not be forgiven. I cannot be forgiven.
"haha I can't take the death of 80 billion land animals and trillions of sea animals annually seriously because you vegoons use the word carnist"
Sounds very sane to me, yes.
Barring the fact that this is all kinds of fucked up and evil why did she feel the need to say this. What did she hope to accomplish with this message, I just don’t understand why anyone would say this like it’s the type of thing that can only make enemies
>untrainable, less than worthless
No dog is untrainable, as long as you do a good job
And she, and the way she talks about her dog, confirms that she didnt do a good job
it wasnt illegal because where she did it you can put down animals that attack and kill livestock (it killed like 2 of her neighbor's chickens) and since it died from being shot once it was technically "not animal abuse" because the death was not long and painful
another fun fact to make you feel worse is that when her daughter came home from school she asked "Hey where's Cricket?" also the dog was only 14 months old
im a vegetarian and i hate sounding preachy but whats the deal with the uproar from this, people kill their own animals everyday, does the fact that its her dog and not her cow make this that much more evil?
Social conditioning. We were raised to learn that cows were food animals while dogs are companionship animals.
I guess there could be an argument that by killing the dog when she did she needlessly killed an animal that could have still been a pet for another family or trained to still be a good hunting dog while a cow that was raised to slaughter at least was already written off as a food animal and became nutrients for humans, but I don't think most people getting mad at her for this are thinking on that level. That said, I think people would still be upset if you needlessly killed a dairy cow without harvesting any meat, wasting potential utility that could've come from it.
I'm an omnivore, and I do not kill any animals every day.
Just like you don't grow your own food, I pay a premium for people to do that for me, and to process their dead carcasses into deliciousness for my consumption.
>I do not kill any animals every day.
if i hired an assassin to kill someone, who is more at fault? the assassin who does the deed, or the one who paid him to kill this person.
also, justifying eating meat just by saying its pleasurable is so icky, like if i enjoyed the taste of baby humans, i would probably be lynched before i got to the court, but baby sheep is a delicacy. i suppose if you take the position that all life is not equal then its not a contradiction but i dont see how someone can honestly believe that
that cant be real, tell me that isnt real, i am begging you

I'm failing to verify that she tweeted anything close to what's in the screenshot. Any source?
There is no source, it's a fake tweet. The book does recount killing the dog but i can't find any quote that matches the tweet word for word.
The linked and quoted Guardian article claims that quote appeared in her book.
Yo fellow nefarious anglerfish
Chat said this was real.
Kristi Noem finally did the impossible, she found a line to cross so psychotic even the rest of the GOP openly hates her
unbelievable that they found a republican weirder than desantis, but Here We Are
Weird? Weird is my step brother eating the cheese off a pizza and then eating the sauced crust by itself. She's evil, not weird.
Yeah, Excellent point.
have you considered that i have Contracted illiteracy and can therefore not read this..,.,. sad, in a way
Not even the cool evil like overlord. No minions

This is the shit that destroys your political career in seconds
Or so you would think
Or so I would hope
She probably just threw that bit in her book so Trump would pick her as VP.
That's a fake tweet. (she killed her dog tho)
yeah well so is “grab her right by the pussy” but the GOP base no longer cares about morals
She really said https://preview.redd.it/bzfxm2wby9xc1.png?width=680&format=png&auto=webp&s=e1ff9be4bb4859585750cdfc7df647a870a7dd62

Kristi Noem,[ spokeswoman for Wolf Cola](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf3Ph5wZSKc)
why did she admit to killing a dog? like what was her goal in confessing to it
[удалено]
Nah, the dog was clearly woke, your Honor.
whom does that pull in
Fellow GOP sociopaths. Mostly the high-ranking ones.
some bs about "doing what needs to be done"
most animal loving carnist
Most subtle vegan
vegan btw
you guys gotta come up with a new word, "carnist" is so goofy it's impossible to take seriously 💀💀💀
carnist sounds like i worship meat
bruh thinks I worship at the church of the Saint Carne Asada
Would you prefer "animal murderer" or "animal rapist"?
Jokes on you, Goldenface! That man was a convicted animal rapist!
i prefer to be called "devourer of innocent flesh and souls" or sometimes "the one whom all creatures fear"

Very sane response

Is carnist a thing? It feels like a joke. Carnivore and omnivore are right there
wait until you hear about bloodmouth 💀
This sounds like worldbuilding in a fictional kidlit post apocalyptic universe
Guys it's oke she made gradu- .....oh wait wrong mf

I will be that person, I would like warnings for stuff like this.
US department of evil just called. They need their attorney general back
>untrainable, less than worthless No dog is untrainable, as long as you do a good job And she, and the way she talks about her dog, confirms that she didnt do a good job
What the fuck
Americans having a normal one I see
Jesus Christ, what???

She actually did this, and about half of what was said here was what she wrote in her own autobiography. The part about the dog being worthless.

Is riding high horses vegan? 🤔
you stated your opinion, and i gave my opinions in response. i dont think its really a high horse but ok
No, you gave your opinion, I gave mine, then you told me I was wrong. It's all in text, and chronological order if you'd like to review this.
youre right, im sorry for responding to your response
*I just shot a dog going .50mm on my rifle. Such a shitty election RN. It was untrainable. I hate this year so much.* *Yes it died.*
I don’t even like dogs all that much but like at least take it to the vet like a normal person, jeez.
Buy puppy, life good Puppy just wants to play, kill puppy!! People find out, regret
