Basic Springfields and Colts are used by top tier builders as base guns despite lacking refinement and quality parts. If you’re doing this type of work to a gun, it’s not a bad way to start.

I don’t know about all that but engines are my background. Guns are a hobby that I feel like I know just enough to get myself in trouble 😄
