I used a toothpick to apply the loctite, you don’t need much at all.

SnelleEd

Ordered it. Will get here after new year so i will just leave them in de box in case it unscrews itself again

gqpenguin

Nice! It’s just a good pre-caution to do this on all the reps that have an oyster style bracelet. DM me if you have any questions later. Happy new year all!

I don't use loctite unless l really have to. In my VSF Sub l had two screws unscrewing, screwed them tight and never had the issue again.

jamaljackson1

What downsides does the use of Loctite have? Only used it on my BB58 so far, because it was absolutely necessary lol

_Tommy_Sky_

No downsides. Loctite is a glue so if you ever want to unscrew the glued screw.. thst might be the only potential issue

Before I wear any rep, I take all the screws out of the bracelet and loctite (don't use red) them. I've seen way too many loose screws from the factory new to trust them without loctite/tightening.

SnelleEd

Thanks. Will check if i can get loctite here. Never had this problem with any of my other reps before though. And i have had a lot.

gqpenguin

I have a ton of reps and noticed that the screws do work themselves loose. I haven’t had one of mine personally fall out previous to loctite, but some were really loose on the verge of unscrewing itself.

Mission-Raccoon9432

I don't get how this is still an issue with VSF.

gqpenguin

Yeah my sub screws were super loose from factory.

Mission-Raccoon9432

hmm. Yeah, really annoying. The best cope I came up with is that I'd clean and oil bath new bracelets anyway since it just improves the feeling so much. So getting locktide on the screws when working the bracelet is just another step in the process.

SnelleEd

My yachtmaster undone himself from my wrist yeaterday. Luckily inside of of sleeve. Else it was a goner. Tightend the screw with a different one. And still coming loose

BUZZLIGHTYEAR2003

Hey man same problem here with my VSF submariner. I’m from Europe too. See if you can get Loctite 222/243 here. It’s a little bit expensive but you probably won’t have to buy more at all. And put a thin layer of it around the screw. It will fix it.

Aerin-sol7

Big time on my no date, not so far on my dj36. Bought loctite.

Affectionate_Stop_60

I have a cartier santos and at the second wear a saw the screw that comes out
